[A319, A320, A321] Fenix High-Fidelity Aircraft

Have lesser specs and have no issues running Fenix on 1440p ultrawide. Just don’t max out the TLOD.

Yeah id it probably is, i haven’t reported it i kinda forgot ;D

IAH to DCA. Easy work. Love this plane! Looks much better for me, but screenshots on a widescreen look like pooh. This was taken with an iPhone.

KDEN to KLAX. AAY901.

On all jet aircraft aircraft I have flown EGT drops after N2 reaches idle values for obvious reasons, more fuel is needed to accelerate the spool up to idle speed than to it is to maintain idle speed. Also airflow increases as N2 goes up, enhancing engine cooling. Typically a turbine engine has 2 EGT peaks, one shortly after light-up, the other slightly before reaching idle values.

I don’t get everybody’s obsession with N1 speed as it is mostly irrelevant during start. Its not a start parameter, yes it should turn but fuel scheduling is not determined by N1 and therefore does not affect EGT. N1 stabilizes at some point depending on a variation of conditions. N2, EGT and FF have a direct relationship. You should look at N2 and FF, reaching idle N2, FF and therefore EGT should drop.

The only thing I can think off is that the BLEEDS are probably (hopefully) automatically OFF during start and engage after engine start cycle is completed, that will cause a rise in EGT.

Oh and EGT stands for Exhaust Gas Temperature just like on a piston engine.

Cheers :clinking_glasses:

Guys how can I increase the sim rate to 2 (as allowed) with the Fenix? I am trying but it resets automatically to sim rate 1.,. I have a knob configured in my joystick to increase or decrease but once I increase it goes back to sim rate 1…

I just use the normal in-sim keyboard setting I have and it seems to work - you can tell from the clock (or from something like shift-z overlay). Maybe try the keyboard mapping (default) and see if that works - maybe an issue with the binding to your joystick?

Thank you very much for the information! I just wanted to be absolutely sure about this topic before I contact Fenix about this little EGT bug.
The developers of SnowRunner have answered back nicely after I have written them a mail about a little bug I have noticed.
And I am sure Fenix and PMDG also give a lot of care and attention to their lovely planes and are happy when real pilots and experts find one or another minor flaw in their simulation us casual simmers (and also developers who aren´t real pilots) won´t even notice

Thanks I need to try with the keyboard, at least with the joystick binding is not working for me

Look at the MCDU, dial “MENU” then “MAINT” button 6R. 2x sim rate available.

Has anyone had issues with he autopilot buttons (HDG etc.) not being able to be toggled? I have reached out to fenix and have heard nothing back

thanks didn’t know it was hidden there

Someone know how to remove failures from the aircraft, because when i started the aircraft the engines shut down and i can’t restart them ?

I am not sure why I cannot use AI communication (co-pilot takes over communication with ATC), the option always stays “grey” in settings menu. Can we use it with Fenix?

And I also have problem with last-row keys in CDU (cannot click with mouse) when using the instrument view with CTRL+1, it stucks like the keys ouf of view limit. Do you guys also have the problem?

Anyone experiencing any problem with the AIRBUS or any other throttles with fenix?

If i pause the game and return, its instatly set my throttles to full T/O and my quadrant throttles does not respond in game anymore. I need to restart all over again.

To get that flight assistant in-sim menu back (where you can delegate ATC duties to your co-pilot) you need to do a small adjustment as Fenix completely disables the menu for some reason:

Go to your Community folder and then fnx-aircraft-320/SimObjects/Airplanes/FNX320, there you edit flight_model.cfg. Find “disable_assistances” and change its attribute from 1 to 0.

You do realise the Fenix is the older CEO variant and not NEO?

To get the AI communications back, you need to use the option in the assistance menu. Press escape, then assistance, and you can toggle the option there. Most options there are not available, but that one is. You don’t need the in sim menu (which can be put back by editing a config file), although that’s obviously an option if you want it.

I didn’t really like the pre-set intrument views, so I ended up defining my own customer views (ALT+0-9 instead of CTL 0-9). I find this works better for me.

Thank you so much, that is what I need.

Thank you very much, I normally let my co-pilot take over ATC communication when my aircraft is on runway and ready for take off. I still get obsessed at the time when my co-pilot automatically request tower for pushback immediately right after I switch the battery on FBW A32NX on, that is why I normally use in-sim AI communication.

I would follow your idea for custom instrument views. I find the pre-set instrument views designed by Fenix not always working properlly, I have not only issue with last-row keys of CDU when using CTRL+1, but also no interaction possible with last row of light options (taxi, runway, take-off lights,… ) on Head Panel.
