[A319, A320, A321] Fenix High-Fidelity Aircraft

With all this great updates I hope that ground handling and boarding got more GSXpro compatible by at least separating refueling and boarding.

Of course this is just a minor thing but i really hope for it.

Fixing all the minor things (instead of simply ignoring bugs) and spending months to perfectionize all the tiny details is what makes Fenix so great.

But unfortunately I have read some months ago there are some harsh incompatible codes and the GSXpro team is not responding to any of Fenix` wishes to make GSX more compatible so hmmm… a difficult situation.

Thank you, i missed that one! Performance improvement is most important for me, because i’ve gradually lost quite a lot of perf. in the last 9 months with the Fenix. And it looks like a massive improvement! And a A321 on the horizon…gorgeous news! Fenix will soon be my favourite plane again.

Yes, sad if this could not have been resolved.
But as a simple workaround Fenix could simply separate refueling from boarding.
It would still require additional intersction with the EFB but at least it would be easier to sychronise both manually…

Agree, is on my wishlist too. But when i first reset the fuel in the EFB, i have a perfect sync between Fenix and GSX, even with auto-services.

Well, EFBv2 is also coming so you never know, these types of changes may be in v2.

We can but hope.

New FBW on v2 can we expect something like what A2A did with comanche? i mean more realism

Have you ever seen the HotStart Challenger turbine calculation? It´s similar to the Comanche EFB but waaaay more detailed.
That is what I would absolutely love to see in the Fenix!
I´d pay 200 if I could get this in the Fenix EFB

I use fenix2gsx, which solves the compatibility issues between the two. When you load up a flight, it reads your SimBrief plan, brings in the catering trucks and calls for refueling. You flip the intercom switch to trigger each subsequent event.

Credit card on standby if they have a working panel save now

But is this really necessary in such detail? After all it’s a pilots perspective simulator, not a mechanics one.
Personally, I don’t really care if every fan blade is simulated as long as the performance and the number displayed in the cockpit are close to real life.

I’m off course OK if they work on such details but only if the flight model and systems simulation (from the pilots interface point of view) and even textures and UI stuff like EFB are 100% perfect first.
I would be a waste if they spend say a year on perfect engine designer level simulation but 1. it would cut the FPS in half because of all the computing power required, 2. the output would be almost exactly the same as the existing approximation.

Will have to check that out because I too have noticed odd behaviour between the two, though not consistently. Sometimes they work perfect, with the fuel truck even being called automatically when I start boarding (though I do wish I could do these steps at different times… anyone know what the real “flow” is in terms of ground event timing?)

All I can comment on is how they’ve designed the flow to work with this tool. Given the people involved, I am going off the assumption that this mirrors the realistic flow pretty well. When you load up into the airport and turn on the batteries it automatically calls for catering and a fuel truck. The catering sometimes finishes before fuel arrives and sometimes they are there together. When the fuel truck is finished, you flip the Intercom switch and it begins the boarding process while also loading baggage at the same time. When all of that is done, you flip the Intercom switch again which begins the pushback. With fenix2gsx, you get this fuel and boarding separately, but also still represented in the Fenix EFB so you’ll see the changes in the Mass and Balance page in real time.

Thanks for this! I bought the Fenix and downloaded this and it works great. This is what I’ve been waiting for.

I want to thank you for this advice.
I haven’t heard of this tool yet but due to your post I downloaded it and I have to say: it is great.
This is exactly what I would hope for being integrated in the EFB by default.
But if not, than this tool is a great workaround.

Didn’t know about this. Just installed it and it does work really great. Thanks

Did Fenix say anything on a A321xlr variant ?

Some benchmarks of V2 Block1 posted on their blog:

V2 should be better with my system (i712700K, 3070Ti, 32GB RAM) :slightly_smiling_face::slightly_smiling_face:

I hope so too, though vast majority of these tests are on GPU with more VRAM than me, I only have 3070, and I am always GPU limited with Fenix. Though next month I hope to buy 4090, I just need to save a little more.
