Try recalibrate throttles via fmgc I realize that autobrakes disarming after landing without touching pedal for manual braking deccel light doesn’t show on autobrake button
I actually think what happens is, I have to move the throttles forward just a bit to stop reverse thrust, just moving the levers to idle detents doesn’t shut off the reversers. Is there an assignment within the FMS throttle calibration to make this happen so I don’t have to move them forward to dis-engage the reverse thrust?
Recalibrate your reverse idle and check if has enough tolerance between reverse idle and normal idle.
That seems to have worked. I adjusted the reverse idle to be just below the detent, and the detent itself as the normal idle, now the spoilers remain up, thanks.
Guys, following the recommendation from a few folks here I took a 1mth subscription to Navigraph. To take a look.
Ok so yes indeed it adds considerably to the experience and I think I will keep subscribing. It’s much easier than having to dig the (although official and free) charts in the AIPs.
Now, when I use my iPad as the EFB, when I try to display the ROUTE, I see my track but there is no map, airways etc. There is a small wheel on the top right corner for me to click and select, but when I click there, nothing happens. My page is still blank, as you can see below.
What am I missing ?
(no issue with the EFB in the sim itself. It’s just when I use the iPad).
There is also a min iOS version to use the MCDU on an iOS device (I think 16?)
@skyblue337 Thanks for the response, it worked !
Guys, after landing and I arrive at the gate, I shut down the engines and I’m being asked via a pop up on the EFB if I want to disembark my passengers. If I click “yes”, the passengers disembark without the jetway having been connected yet (or the front-left door having been open).
This is not a world-class problem and I guess I can just click “No” instead, connect my jetway and then disembark ? (I presume that’s possible ?) Is there any other way this should be handled (without using third party addons for now please, as I said earlier I am still figuring out what this plane does and doesn’t do on its own).
Another question: the cockpit of this airplane has 4 sun screens (sun shades ? I’m not sure how to call that). 2 on each sides.
In my case, when I use them, they don’t seem to reduce the light in the cockpit.
Am I doing something wrong ? or was this just not modelled ?
It’s an MSFS 2020 limitation. No idea if it will be possible in 2024. Ray tracing would fix it so maybe we’ll get lucky, depends on how the new ray tracing features work.
Alright, thank you. A shame, would be awesome.
Hey, I have a question about general Airbus.
If you enter a cruise profile below 25, the cruise speed will be lower than the climb and desend speed. For Cl6 for example, this makes Mach 0.77/0.74/0.77.
That somehow doesn’t make much sense to me, since he slows down after the climb to accelerate again for the decent?!
Is this normal procedure and is this how it is flown or is a manual speed entered into the MCDU for the route after the TOC?
I’ve got GSX Pro and have noted when at the gate on external power, there is a small generator cart on the ramp, plugged into the jet. Most airports seem to use an electrical cable that is affixed to the jetway. Is this a limitation of GSX or is there an option in the Fenix program to select this type of external power?
As far as I know MSFS (and GSX) can only model mobile GPU’s, not the jetway plugs.
Well that’s surprising. I don’t recall ever seeing a portable generator cart in RL at any airport I’ve been to (US domestic and European). For some reason I thought PMDG’s 737 had an option for jetway provided power, but I may be mistaken, it’s been ages since I flew that sim.
What about AC while on the ground? Are there any options for ground-provided chilled air or is it a case of keep the APU running or go without?
You can select “PCA” on the EFB and it will supply preconditioned air. On the GPU side, even PMDG only offers either the cart or a pedestal off to the side of the aircraft, but not on the jetway.
WIth PCA (thanks, I had been trying to find out what that meant), does the external view show any ducting connected to the jet?
Unfortunately, no, not that I have seen. I’m hoping they add something at some point for that. I really like how PMDG did it with the 777 (and I believe 737, but my memory escapes me).
Yeah, it’s present on the 737’s. Yellow “flex hose” connecting to an opened port on the belly of the jet. When you disconnect, the hose drops away and the cover closes. It’s a pretty nice effect.
Now PMDG 777 simulates jetway plugs but I doubt it’s visual. There’s just no support of that in MSFS and/or GSX.
