The clock is broken in FS24 on all planes.
This is indicative of strongly modular but poorly managed software engineering in MSFS2024. Someone is sending the system time variable to the clock service instead of the simulator time, and the clock service never bothered to verify.
Last night I couldn’t get the 320 sl to load properly whatever I tried.
This morning had a lovely flight in the 319
I don’t know why, but sometimes when I load in FS2024 our Fenix is awsome, nice FPS… and other times is a pain with very low FPS. It’s not constant. Anyone else?
I don’t think the EFB touch is improved, but I’m getting better at dealing with it.
For most success zoom in to ensure the buttons are nice and big then try clicking around in slightly different spots.
I was flying the Asobo Robinson R66 yesterday and clicked in the middle of the Asobo EFB and the click went straight through to the door behind and chucked me out of the heli with the rotor already spinning! It’s just another thing that worked and is now broken in FS24.
Yea, on second thought I agree - it’s the same, but it’s very inconsistent. Sometimes it works great, other times I cant even drag to scroll down. Like you said, zooming in and clicking twice usually works.
Is anyone having issues taxiing the Fenix in fs2024? I’m all set up and pushed back (GSX) and ready to taxi but aircraft won’t move, glued to apron. Parking brakes off and no chocks & auto brakes not armed yet. Anything else to check? A320 IAE. V2.3.0.532
That happened to me in the default A320neo. The only thing that helped was to change the panel state to ready for take-off.
OK thank you. Are the other variants ok or have you not tried them out yet? Or when you say “default” Neo do you mean the Ini V2?
Interestingly my second flight in the neo was ok (and it’s pretty good considered it’s a free airplane). I have also tried A330 and that was great too. Tomorrow I’ll try that A321LR. I’ve done two flights in Fenix and besides that EFB clicking problem guys were talking about it was without any hiccups.
Yes, IniBuilds A320neo.
Yeah the EFB is sluggish on the Fenix in 2024. Seems to need two presses to select things sometimes, but the being stuck on the tarmac post pushback (twice now!) is annoying.
The panel state switching didn’t help?
I’ve not had time to try that yet. I have relaunched in. Sadly there isn’t a ready for taxi state, just ‘turnaround’ and ‘ready’ apearing whatever ‘ready’ means.
You don’t happen to know how to get an IFR flightplan logged with default sim ATC in fs2024? I filed the flightplan with ATC in the new default sim EFB after creating a simbrief flightplan in that same EFB and sending it in to sim. Yet ATC only gives me VFR options, and no IFR clearance request option.
Actually I just tried (without using pushback just to check it wasn’t related to that) the ‘ready’ state and I’m still stuck to the tarmac. Maybe I’ll try a re-install as this isn’t behaving. Can’t see anything obvious.
Sorry, I don’t know because I use BeyondATC with the AI traffic
I can put the parking brakes on, rev the engines up, release the parking brake and it has a tiny microscopic nudge forward but stops. It’s like there are chocks there but there aren’t. I’ll have to put it down to it being ‘experimental’.
After using GSX pushback on various tubeliners, if I’m stuck, sometimes simply applying and releasing the toe brakes “unsticks” it. Your Mileage May Vary, but give that a try.
I’ll give that a try thanks (I didn’t try that previously). I’m reinstalling the Fenix right now just in case.
Happened to me once with MSFS2024 at LEPA. Had to restart the flight in order to have the aircraft moving.
Other five or six flights so far no issue, so it is probably a random glitch.
