I may be a bit more impatient. I find myself thoroughly bored with the Fenix at this point. It’s a great sim, no doubt, but I’ve simply worn it out. Had expected that the iFly MAX would have been out by now, for a bit a variety, but that seems pretty much to be abandonware. Hoping the BFU will breathe some life back into this sim for me, a least to hold me over until the A220 hits. If it delivers, it’s going to be a blast learning a completely new aircraft.
I kind of know what you mean. However, Youtube auto-suggested the video below; I’m away-from-sim for a couple of days, but looking forward to trying some of the items.
Very useful. Highly recommend that you guys check this video out.
The iFly Max isn’t abandonware. Go check out their discord, they are actively working on the 2024 version. In fact, they just posted some screen shots.
I’m pretty sure I’ll buy the Fenix A320. The only question I have now is whether it would be better to wait for the BFU. Will the Neo also come with the update?
PS: I actually want to fly exclusively MSFS2024 now.
Neo’s will be separate from BFU. I say pick it up now, works decent in 24 as is. When BFU releases, all you have to do is update.
Just grab it now. It works fine in 2024 and it’s pretty much the best commercial jet sim available. It’s only going to get better when the BFU drops, which the way things are going, may be quite a while out.
Where is the switch or dial to control the cockpit lighting on the armrest, behind the EFB?
edit: not the armrest i guess, more accurately, the windowsill
To Arm/Disarm Spoilers I use this key which looks like a spolier:
Not sure I totally understand which lights you are talking about but there is a rocker switch on the windshield frame.
Nice Video
I’d be interested to know why you prefer the 321 to the 320? I’m just asking so I know if the expansion pack is worth it for me.
PS: I don’t have the 320 yet either. But I’ll be getting it soon.
The Fenix models fly much nicer. Smoother. I kike the NAV radio in the Fenix. It allows you to put in an ILS frequency without using the box. Most of the times the inbuild FMC doesn’t allow you to put in the ILS frequency when you are handflying randomly.
I really like the EFB on the Fenix. It has a lot of features.
Real Airbus pilots call the Fenix study level.
looks like significant studdering at the end
Yeah. Frustrating. I have a 4070 Nvidia video card and can’t shake that.
Try clearing the Shader Cache if you haven’t already. Easyjetsimpilot has a good YouTube video. This is for 2020, no idea if it applies to 2024.
I actually prefer the 319 out of all of them. It’s a sports car and I really enjoy hand flying it. Fenix did a great job in tweaking the flight models on all three of the variants.
Took a very quick post-SU2 flight yesterday. I was rushed so maybe I missed something but a couple of minor glitches - no cabin chime sound and it seems I can’t “shift-C” to go back into walkaround mode once I’m in the cockpit.
Anyone have similar issues?
