Hi all!

Anyone on SU4 beta here that’s experiencing the fenix not loading the previz in aircraft selection?

It selects correctly and I have no bugs afterwards.

But since the previous beta release the model isn’t loading for me in the selection screen.

Yes I’ve same issue, but not always and not for all liveries.

Yes, just noticed it today. Thankfully it’s the only issue I have with this plane.

MS2024 (no betas), anyone else noticing that when you turn on the landing lights at night, some of the glare “leaks” into the cockpit? Also, does the light for the ice probe work? I don’t see it being illuminated when I try to use it.

Lastly - is there any reference that shows what airline selectable options are used by each airline? Fenix gives you multiple airline specific options (automatic ice detection being one) but how can I find out if the airline I happen to be flying has that option on their jets?

I need to give a shout out to Fenix and certainly Airbus for making flying airliners easy (relatively of course). I decided since I could pretty much do anything I needed to do in the Airbus aircraft, I’d take a stab at a similar sized Boeing so I tried a cold and dark start and takeoff in the Asobo 737 Max. I first went to Youtube videos to get some insight on what steps I’d need to take and how the cockpit was laid out and it took me 2 videos to realize what was going on as pilots kept reaching for the panels to turn on switches that seemed to already be turned on. Boeing, an American company where home light switches are pushed up to turn on, has decided in their planes, MOST switches work the exact opposite, pulling them downward to turn on. Of course the switches on some panels are normal so it’s not consistent.

And then, to start the engines, you have to ensure your packs are not on because they would rob pressure from the APU (which has no indicators as it’s starting up). The panel layouts are an illogical mess with the pilot having to work mostly on the overhead panel. You have to know where your fuel is loading to know which fuel pumps you can turn on or they snarl at you. The MCDU is bizarre and confusing and luckily I stumbled across a way to dump data into it from Simbrief or I’d still be programming in my route.

Trim for takeoff is manual and critical that you set it right until the auto pilot is engaged with its cryptic buttons. I watched something that said I needed to push some TOGA button instead of using my throttle levers but could not get that to work so just jammed the throttles to full to takeoff. No detents for various levels. I have no idea after takeoff where my throttle should have been. Somehow I ended up on my assigned course and altitude but I had no idea how to figure out where I was in the sequence from that point to decide to descend.

While I understand the Asobo 737 Max is not a commercial plane and should have no where near the sophistication of something like the Fenix fleet, I so sympathize with developers that choose to model Boeing aircraft or the pilots that choose to fly them both in sim and real life.

Thank you Fenix for an astounding product and reinforcing my belief that Airbus has built amazing planes.
