Ok what gives on the blotches on the windscreen in SU5? Is this a Fenix bug or something MSFS caused?

I estimate that this is due to them having changed something in the SDK…

I tink.

Well that’s what I assumed since we had no new Fenix updates but sounds like it will be up to Fenix to fix which they may not feel like doing before SU5 is released. I’d be happy with GSX giving us a new feature to clean windows. It’d be like those guys you come up to at traffic lights with the spray bottle and rags in their hands. This guy would also have a ladder.

Not necessarily, there have been bugs (especially in the SDK) introduced during betas before which were ultimately resolved by Asobo over the course of the beta. Developers could choose to invest the time to fix things as they break in betas, but there’s a strong possibility that those fixes would then need to be undone when that issue changes or is fixed in a subsequent beta build. It’s why most developers don’t work on beta issues, since it’s a moving target and what needs fixing today may not need fixing next week. For now it’s a matter of waiting and seeing how it plays out, and for now we’ll have to deal with it either until Asobo fixes the issue or Fenix does later.

I mentioned that it might be up to Fenix to fix since people posted it as a bug fix in SU5 and community managers said it’s a 3rd Party problem and moved the posts. It sounded as if Asobo were washing their hands of it.

So the bug is actual bugs on the windshield?
