There’s a lot of information left out assuming it wasn’t vanilla FS. Which version, what other sceneries, traffic, settings, etc etc. Could be anything.
I’ve been experiencing several issues with the A320 and A319 lately.
The first one happens right after powering up the aircraft. As soon as I switch on the fuel pumps, I get the ECAM message “Autofeed system tanks failed - set MAN.”
I’ve discovered that this seems to be caused by a bug when importing the weights from SimBrief. If I don’t import the SimBrief weights and instead load the aircraft through the EFB > Mass & Balance > Load Aircraft, everything works normally. However, if I import the weights from SimBrief, the error appears every time.
I’ve also had some strange issues in flight. While cruising at FL350 at around 474 knots, I suddenly got an A.FLOOR warning for no apparent reason. Then the aircraft accelerated by itself to 510 knots, triggered an overspeed, disconnected the autopilot, and I had to recover manually. I managed to solve it by setting both engines to IDLE, after which I was able to re-engage the autopilot and continue the flight normally until destination.
These aircraft used to work flawlessly until recently. Since Sim Update 5 / 5.1, I’ve been getting all sorts of strange behavior.
Has anyone else experienced the same issues? Could it be some kind of bad interaction between GSX and Fenix? Although that wouldn’t fully explain it, since these problems also happen during cruise, when GSX isn’t doing anything ?
so i have to remove all my payware like BS, A350, cows, maddog etc before i fly the fenix ! is that what you are saying ? aint happening. traffic is msfs default, not even fsltl. and no scenry addon
Maybe a silly question but are you loading the Fenix with the MSFS tool? If so, don’t. Only use the EFB or manual inside the MCDU.
No but when you decide to switch simulators isn’t that basically what you’re doing? Did you fly in a photogrammetry area perhaps? I noticed since the last one or two updates these tend to go less smooth.
Anybody else having issues with engines turning off right after you exit the runway. Seems to be connected to when GSX comes back online. Started with the SU6 update.
I had this happen a couple of days ago, but not on landing. I’d been pushed back by GSX, and after releasing the parking brake to taxi both engine switches turned to the off position. Luckily the APU was still available to restart.
Today I received a 37-something MB update and now EFB doesn’t calculate takeoff steps and gives an error
Nothing is broken, so no need for updates for me. I’m happy that they spend their time on the NEO’s.
I’m just curious with Fenix right now because they made such a stink when their windshield was all mud splattered and they said they wouldn’t fix it or do updates because we were in a beta (eventually they did anyway). Well we now have a stable version for a bit of time and I’d hope they have been updating code so, for that reason only I’m expecting an update. I get sluggish mouse movements at times flying the Fenix in VR and not in any other planes so it feels like a bug that came about in SU6. I really don’t care about future aircraft.
Honestly, given the delays on even the VNAV update, I’m starting to wonder if these guys / guy are even really working on this sim anymore.
I wouldn’t hit the panic button yet, these guys are known for cooking silently for indefinite periods of time. And really, if they had ceased to work on it, they likely would have said so. What is it, 4 1/2 months since the last A320 update? The silence is honestly better than a weekly blog with 2,000 meaningless words. That said, if enough people make some noise about how silent they’ve been, I’m sure we’ll see a progress update from them not long after. ![]()
As they said many times on their discord there is nothing to communicate other than what has been said before about the VNAV.
Sign up for their discord. They are busy over there and they respond. It’s a very active discord channel. They will have good things for us in the future, they just don’t like to create too much noise and expectations…
I’ve been experiencing significant stuttering issues during the landing roll, particularly during heavy braking and while exiting the runway. I also occasionally encounter these stutters mid-flight. These performance issues began after the SU6 update; everything was running smoothly during SU5. Is anyone else noticing this, or have you found a potential fix?
