[A319, A320, A321] Fenix High-Fidelity Aircraft

I dont expect the base sim to do everything, but the basic Auto Pilot and Flight plan stuff needs to be fixed that’s all. A sim cant provide for every plane, that’s impossible I get that…But the basics such as a flight planner that just sticks to your plan, or an Auto Pilot (A3NX) that just follows your plan in all conditions is not to much to ask, I am not asking for it to do all the complex parts they have done that or most of it… But like the other day for example I was flying in the A32nx EGLL to LIRA, ATC (VATSIM) gave me a a direct to the ROM VOR I think.,… and after inserting the DIRTO poof the rest of my flight plan was gone, I had an all new magic one ROM>EGLL and no plan left to follow…Highly embarrassing, but the controller said no worries and vectored to me the ILS…

That’s Terrible, its not the A32nx devs fault…that’s what I want I fixed, I feel that any dev having to come up with their own solution to solve that basic element is beyond a joke, fine if they want a custom format, but the base sim SHOULD not be doing that… That is all I am saying, and also the Auto Pilot needs tweaking too. I dont expect a dev making a highly detailed $30-40 GA add-on to have to mess around with the basics, I dont know maybe I am used to paying £100’s for add-ons, I dont know and I dont care, but all I have ever said is the basics need fixing, and it needs fixing ASAP, IF we could get the planner to just leave the plan alone and the Auto Pilot to just follow it with or without custom guidance form add-ons, and not go to pot just because I changed it a little and realistically, that would be great!, that’s all I want, and I think we all want. Beyond that VNAV, waypoint revisions, etc etc all the good stuff I dont expect from default Airliners or the base sim, although not going to lie other sims have some of it, but whatever!

I do think the GNS530/430 could do with some work and take on board what PMS has done to them. I will happily pay $100 for a better 530/430 or any shared avionics but ASOBO need to make that possible for dev’s to do as I understand it. I just want to fly planes as realistically as possible in MSFS as I can do in X-Plane without all the garbage work arounds faffing around we have to do, just the basics.

Yes, this I do agree with. And I’m hopeful In time they will get it sorted.

Check out V1 Simulations - Real Airbus Pilot take on this bird. Another great endorsement of the systems.

Nice info about the systems, but for me it will be much more interesting to see how Fenix is going to tackle the problem that MSFS is the only current simulator which doesn’t simulate slats.

I didnt even pay attention and know this was an issue. Is it a bug thread that’s being upvoted. If so, please link so I can vote for them to fix it.

For those of us who aren’t as well informed, can you explain what slats are, and the issue with the lack of simulation of same? Thanks :slightly_smiling_face:

EDIT: s’ok, got it :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi John Bob - we’re currently not taking bug reports from non-alpha testers. We’re currently at a full complement of alpha testers who’ve raised three figure plus bugs (and countring)

I meant bug discussion for Asobo to fix. Like the threads they pay attention to in the Microsoft forums where users vote and Asobo uses those votes to determine a wishlist for dev updates. I am not saying its an issue with your plane by any means as I imagine you’ve found a way around it. But if Asobo isn’t fixing it, I think a lot of the community may not know its an issue like myself.

EDIT: I also can’t ask Fenix to fix an issue that we haven’t even seen since we’ve seen very limited videos of your aircraft lol.

This in-depth YouTube article came out recently, dissecting the MCDU blog on Fenix’s website. Just as in-depth as the blog itself, V1-Simulations seems very enthusiastic about the upcoming capabilities of the Fenix A320.

What are your thoughts on this? Be good to get some feedback from our extremely well informed Captains out there :slightly_smiling_face:

Absolutely awesome - I have just found this video while looking for infos about the new HondaJet!

It says this Airbus will have so much incredible attention to detail that even the prints of switches and screws and bolts on the outerior mod will be in 3D.

The air conditioning of freight room and passenger cabin will be fully controllable and it also effects the engine`s performance how many passengers are inside the plane by calculating how much passengers give up heat into the cabin and how much power the air conditioning draws on hot summer days depending on the daytime, outside temperature and number of passengers.

383 possible system errors will be simulated including a fully-functional circuit breaker panel when electrical errors are happening. Even the electric back panel with the circuit breakers can be maintained in-flight.

I also hope that landing with too much fuel will overheat the brakes and destroy them - the last time we had this feature showing temperature of the brakes and having a functioning brake-cooling-fan was in the PSS Boeing 777 simulator.

The more accuracy and realism a simulated plane has and if wrong handling can damage or even destroy systems, the more interesting a simulated plane becomes and the more it must be flown carefully by the handbook.

I am more than hyped, a must-buy DLC just like the PMDG Cloudmaster.

As a long-time Airbus and A320 fan in particular, and as one who has tried nearly every Airbus simulator, I’m very excited for this release. I currently sim with the ToLiss, FlightFactor A320s on X-Plane and the Flight Sim Labs A320 in P3D. Even with these great examples, Fenix is going above and beyond in so many ways.

It’s always been the fidelity of the A320 that most have struggled with. This has been the first developer that I can recall going to such lengths for functions deep with the Airbus. Perhaps one other comes close. I’m thrilled to add this to MSFS when it’s available. No brainer.

The FlyByWire A32NX would like a word with you  It has overheating brakes, temperature guages, and working brake fans. But I do not think it causes any damage by overheating, yet.

The next update, due later today, will concentrate on HYD/FUEL.

https://fenixsim.com and the FNX discord, once it’s available.

Just take my money……

New blog out focusing on hydraulics and fuel

well , even PMDG will have to re invent the way to make planes addons, afte this simmers will be very stric, FENIX will be hated by others developers LOL.

Well after reading the latest blog, it’s too much, it’s too complicated.
I’m out.

HA! Kidding. I’m all in.
Though it’ll take me a good while to get to know these advanced systems and failure points.

That cost-of-aircraft / hours-of-use equation is looking more appealing the more we get told.

no words to describe what they achieved, you may ground( break) tha plane if don’t fly it on way it has to be

I want this plane, where do i send my money

These new videos by Aamir are so interesting but somehow unlisted from Youtube. For anyone who just want to watch instead of read, you are welcome
