[A319, A320, A321] Fenix High-Fidelity Aircraft

I’ll be getting Fenix as soon as it’s available!

That’s good, everybody is entitled to there own purchase options, i just stated that I feel within the next few months when the features are rolled out, the fbw will be a way good plane, and will not be wanting for much .

Who completes the project first, is anybodies guess but everybody is a winner with both projects
Both will benefit the community hugely

Absolutely, everyone is entitled to make their own purchase options. Even those who decide to buy the Captin Sim airliners!

Sorry if I missed it, but is this coming to xbox?

I’m trying to find a list of what airliners are in the works for both PC and xbox.

Thanks

Everyone is also entitled to buy rotten meat if they want. But that meat shouldn’t be sold by the store owner. I think we should set high standards and discourage lazy developers releasing incomplete products and/or copies from older sims, especially because the market is so much bigger now and the potential profit is way higher. They are basically printing money without putting in the work.

I have to say I agree with you. I think it demeans MSFS and Microsoft and Asobo and all the incredible work they have deliverved to the sim

I made a list here of aircraft that are confirmed to arrive on Xbox eventually. It’s unfortunate that Fenix and FBW are not bringing their products to Xbox, but it is not the end of the world. There are plenty of awesome products on the way from Aerosoft, PMDG, Just Flight etc. In fact you can count on that the majority of aircraft will come to Xbox.

Thank you, I’m quite looking forward to seeing what PMDG bring, I know they pulled the DC6 for the time being to fix it, and have a 737 in the works I believe.

Just want to see some airliners that are fairly detailed, similar to the a320 by FBW, if that is possible, I realise Im on xbox but I cant see why its not possible to have some airliners that are similar to the level of detail that the FBW a320 is?

PMDG aircraft will probably have a similar level of detail, but I’m not sure. Aerosoft has a really good philosophy regarding the depth of simulation; they prioritise features that are frequently used by pilots during normal operation, but they don’t attempt to simulation every little detail such as circuit breakers and complex (extremely rare) failures like the Fenix A320. I personally don’t care for such features.

I hear you on this. I am really looking forward to the Fenix product but I am very concerned about having to run an additional data injection program to get it to work. I made this mistake with Xplane and the FF a320 and also the Xenviro product. The added loads these products generated on my PC was way too much. Could not run them (12 FPS with either of these running). Essentially unusable if run together. I will wait for reviews.

You do know that the Flight Factor A320 is using the Toliss optimisations now!
XEnviro is runs fine with the FFA320.

Nothing wrong with 3rd party apps, in fact it is better as it takes the load off the SIM, if done correctly.

Well as far as I know the FBW team pulled from Xbox due to license agreements, kind of open source vs some kind of non open source license required by MS. And sometimes for freeware releasing in official platform means compulsory licensing fee from Boeing and airbus etc. which isn’t really feasible for a freeware development… for fenix I think it’s because they are relying a lot on off sim platform codes working in the background. Even the recent FBW dev build with the custom fmc runs externally which can’t work on Xbox which is a closed platform

I wonder what causes a circuit breaker in the Fenix Airbus to fail - under normal circumstances only a short circuit or ampere overload does this.

How are short circuits being simulated in the Fenix Airbus? They just happen when humidity creeps into electronic devices or cable looms.

This Airbus will be truly unique and a one of it´s kind. Really looking forward to it. And if it uses some program and features injection tool - more powerful pre-owned Ryzen 5000-class CPUs are not that expensive on eBay

Same really, I just want an airliner that uses the main features, not bothered about any really small details that are never used. I do like the default a320 but some things are just not mapped to the buttons like on the FBW 320, anything that comes close to the FBW 320 that gets released on xbox I will be happy.

true, but only if you can assign a dedicated core to the app. With both of these product you are unable to do this. Thus the only way to ‘burn’ through the FPS hit is to have a very high single core speed PC.

I agree that the level Fenix and PMDG go to won’t be for everyone, but from what I gather, the level of detail will be much appreciated by those who do.
Personally I’m like you, I probably won’t know, need or try half of the things you can do with the options on these two amazing birds… but if and when I get there, I sure want the choice!

The big thing will no doubt be for the procedure-orientated pilots, and huge for the cockpit builders. Which brings me to what may well be the biggest challenge, and that’s for Asobo, not Fenix or PMDG - multiple pop out screens, legions of SimVars, and a myriad of viewing options.

The thing is, PMDG and Fenix, and all the others coming to town with vast complex aircraft are bringing long-term choice to us all.
We can choose to spend years in external GTA mode if we like, or get deep into the systems, and test our failure emergency procedures. If we like.
I want to learn to grow into and with these systems for years to come, and I believe both PMDG and Fenix will cater for that, and then some.

Couldn’t say it better myself, the more choices we have the better. The bigger this community grows the better. Having a mix of simple and complex aircraft will help every simmer find a plane that fits their skill level. Wishing the FBW and Fenix teams continued success.

Will Fenix also include the A319 and A321, or will it just be the A320?
