[A319, A320, A321] Fenix High-Fidelity Aircraft

I have no words to thank the Fenix Simulations team for this aircraft.

I have to admit, if I didn´t quit FS2020, it was mainly because the FBW team and their great work with the NEO. I will continue to fly their aircraft and support them, even if I buy the Fenix. As I see it, the NEO and CEO are two different aircraft, so there is plenty of time to fly them both.

Even if both products were more similar, I would still buy the Fenix. Such a hard work, and atention to detail just deserves our support. I want our developers to sell their product as hot cakes, so they can continue delivering great products for us (actually, I really hope their servers collapse on release day even if they increase their capacity).

I´m really looking forward to flying this great bird. I would have bought it no matter what price they asked for it.

Just one more thing for the Fenix team…

… I know the A350 is a challenge…

but if anyone can do it, it is you.

Thanks so much.

Serious question.

I’ve scrolled through this thread and i get that Fenix is a very high fidelity level that FBW developmental version has not yet achieved.

But its still not clear to me: other than the old wing tip fences and the old engine design - what major features are you looking forward to that you’re not getting out of FBW?

Im not a naysayer - just trying to understand the excitement.

Absolute cockpit interior perfection, every switch knob and screw placed in the 100% realistic position, all systems and sub-systems animated and controllable, perfect air condition cabin pressurization cargo and freight management.
Perfect 100% realistic flight physics and aerodynamics depending of the freight weight (with also overloading possible and more difficult flight behaviour when fully loaded to the brim).
Getting a modern medium-sized freight plane (if the A320 will get a freighter version - I really hope so!)

Perfect visual quality that was never before achieved, eye candy as far as the cockpit stretches and when viewed and screenshotted from all angles.

NDA has been lifted and there are some streams going on right now. So you can see it for yourself. It is absolutely beautiful.

I really wish people would stop with the Dogging on the FBW. It is a different thing. FBW have been doing this for a year+ for free. Imagine they charged for it? Imagine they never bothered with it at all? What would of we been flying for almost 2 years? Some garbage wanabe mod, or nothing at all!!

Of Course the Fenix is going to have it all, its a payware project that has set out to break boundaries beyond many add-ons (not sure it beats the CL650 for X-Plane) but whatever.. The point is there is absolutely no need to keep repeating over “RIP FBW”, or “This is 1000X better than FBW”, Like come on people, FBW have given us so much for nothing, they have stuck with it through all the sim updates, and put 1000’s of hours into the plane for some to just turn their back on them and dog on their massive and free efforts!!!

Do we have any idea when this will be released? Just wondering if I will have time at all to enjoy the BAe146 and PMDG 737… Because when this one comes out…

This sim is getting some great addons within weeks now, and every new release seems to be able to set the standard even higher!

PS. And please don’t tell my wife these addons actually cost money…

Totally agree, and this isn’t even something that affects me, and never will, as I’m on Xbox. I’ve seen enough videos of the FBW to know that it’s pretty remarkable what they’ve done with it and I think it’ll take some beating.

Couldn’t agree more.

Not trying to say one is better than another. Just trying to better understand the differences.

What do people value that’s driving them to a new product?

only 50£ and that’s VAT included!
Extreme attention to details, raising the bar graphically too (at last someone took care of adding wiper effects!). Just shows how you can try and reach for the stars at a lower price point than before. Ahem, You hear that Maddog -cough cough- ?

Is there any info if sending events and reading and setting LVARs with SPAD.neXt and MobiFlight and so on will be supported at release?

Missed approach procedures, secondary flight plan, vertical navigation, in that order of priority. Will get implemented by FBW as well at some point I am sure (might be there already, haven’t flown it in a few weeks).

Personally, I also prefer the ceo to the neo for the simple reason that I have a way to do performance calculations for ceo (using Topcat), but not for neo. Not a huge deal at all, but if given the choice that is where I would go.

And the exiting stuff of learning a whole new airplane with completely different Flight Management Computer and completely different autopilot after knowing Boeing for such a long time.

To have the ultimate comparison between a study-level Boeing and a study-level Airbus to see which one of the two opponents is more “user-friendly” and more easy to overall learn and understand, which one is more easy to fly, more easy to land, which one´s autopilot is more responsive and can handle turbulence strong winds and other unfriendly weather conditions better while landing.

Oh it will be the ultimate cock(pit)fight of two giants!

Maybe it´s a little bit unfair because the 737 is from 1967 I guess and that Airbus is from 1987… but life is always cruel and never fair so it will maybe be a dirty fight ;D
But the battle of the giants will be interesting because I still find the Boeing FMC way more intuitive and the Boeing has a more direct steering and no fly-by-wire with a computer overriding half of the pilot´s commands in more harsh situations…

Now that the majority of streams have finished - we have one streamer taking over the evening shift.

KatiePilot - Twitch - show her some love, while she does a walkaround then flies to innsbruck.

I agree on the opposite, I CAN’T see PMDG with ANY of their Boeings surpassing this. There’s no way and if they came close it would be uber multiple delays, blamed on outside factors and there would be a cry of it took 42,571 hours so it’s $129 for the upgrade pricing to get a drink service cart. Fenix would go further and say they are perfecting the audio on the left front wheel of that cart as it goes by seat 3A. Fenix would also go as far as to let you hear a specific brand of coffee being cut and opened and poured into the coffee machine I’m sure and no other developer even considers that level of immersion but that’s what I want as well! Not to mention this pricing strategy is what most simmers thought developers should realize anyway with the quite larger numbers of potential customer than ever and they deserve way more success than any other developer for over delivering.

I watched Easyjet sim pilot’s stream today and I must say that what you guys made is a pure masterpiece. I can’t wait to fly that beauty.

I’ll never get to use this as I’m on a Series X but I think you’ll find that the hype is probably justified in this case. There’s no need to be sour about it. :+1:

never say never, plus he’s lucky to have an xbox x series that not everyone has

I agree. I can see MS coming up with a way to get 3rd party apps running on XBOX outside of the SIM if the demand is there.

So I assume we are still on the dark re release date?
