Fenix has a complete guide for setting up the Bravo. I believe somebody linked it earlier in this thread.

So…

I’ve had a good look through the Fenix and it’s great. As an A320 Captain it’ll be invaluable for years to come. I did some initial testing and prodded about some of the features and systems and found some issues. To the best of my knowledge and the company FCOM references I looked at, these are all minor things and small errors that would be nice to get fixed. In no particular order:

PFD NORMAL LAW BARS
On the PFD the green “=” marks move around the display to represent the current limits. Such as 45deg bank in high AoA or 40deg bank during an overspeed. These limits apply in handling terms but the = remain in their original 67deg positions in the real aircraft no matter the flight conditions.

STOPPING WITH PARKING BRAKE
Set the Park Brk after landing to decelerate and the aircraft repeatedly jolts forwards and backwards, as though the anti-skid is taking affect. Not referenced in the manuals as far as I can see but I would not expect this behaviour.

NWS DOES NOT MOVE WHEN STOPPED
Regardless of PEDAL DISC button use, NWS does not turn the nosewheel when the aircraft is stationary. Real aircraft can turn NWS when stopped.

AIRCRAFT CONFIG MENU MISSING
Pre-release streamers showed a CONFIG menu in the MCDU, which is now missing. It allowed for light bulb type, sharklet dynamics and other options not found in the EFB.

ADIRS PANEL
Number 5 button on keypad should have “H” for manual HDG input when IRS in ATT mode.
TEST position does not test the LCD section.

SCREEN FONT/GRAPHICS
Fenix have mentioned this already as being too complex to make v1.0, but hope to improve in future.
E/WD and SD pages should have grey dividing lines rather than white.

ENG N2 START BOX
During start, the N2 becomes grey boxed. Fenix has the box grow once N2 figure reaches double figures, but IIRC the aircraft only shows one size.

FCU V/S LIMITS
Allows +/-9900fpm in FCU V/S rather than +/-6000fpm

ISA TEMP SHOW/HIDE
ISA should only become displayed by TAT and SAT when CAPT side BARO set to QNH. Fenix allows FO to also do this, regardless of Independent/Linked setting.

PARK BRAKE PRESSURE
Parked on ground, ACCU PR dial shows parking brake at 3000psi. Should be more like 2000-2500psi including when fully charged by Y HYD.

PFD VSI
When triple digit V/S reached, V/S FPM number is not properly displayed on PFD V/S needle.

THRUST DETENTS
Very small zones for CLB and MCT detents, making accurate setting difficult. Maybe nullzone helps but I thought this was only for the IDLE range.

FD FLAGS
Flight Director “FD” flag remains displayed on PFD after FD 1+2 set to off following failure.
Turning off both FDs also causes a Triple Click (downgrade) sound, even when straight and level and not on approach.

LOC ONLY
Localiser only approaches are treated by this FMS as an RNP approach, with V/DEV and L/DEV bars.
Should allow for LS button on, to show LOC. This is with FLS off.

PFD STALL INDICATION
STALL STALL should be displayed in red on PFD when stall warning active.

CARGO HEAT SELECTOR
Defaults to full cold.

CONFIG GRAPHICS
When not installed, more items could be hidden from the cockpit, such as the CBs for ice detectors and brake fans when these parts are not fitted. Ability to hide HI ALT LAND switch etc.

ENGINE VOLUME
Sounds too quiet in cockpit and too loud in exterior.

COCKPIT DOOR CAMERA
Camera is fitted but INOP, despite modelled cabin.

ECP ALL BUTTON
Repeatedly pressing and releasing the ALL button on the ECAM Control Panel should take you to the next SD page in order, keeping that page displayed until the next push. Currently the button always returns to the ‘home’ page (ie WHEEL when taxiing or DOORS on stand) after each second push.

ENG FIRE SQUIB
Should be a small delay after pushing AGENT button before DISCH is displayed. Approx 5secs.

SAVING AND LOADING
Setting up a departure at the holding point and saving the flight is not of use. When loading the saved flight, all inputs are reset, other than engines running and flap setting. FMGC and overhead inputs are all lost.

SLEW
On ground I setup aircraft and started engines, with FMGC programmed. I used SLEW to move to the holding point. When leaving SLEW, aircraft reverted to cold and dark, with hot brakes and deployed RAT.
In-flight slew causes a blue “2” to appear at the top of PFD speed scale and an impossibly high (and out of range) speed selection on the FCU such as 600kts.

LANDING PERF PAGE
Wind entry has long gap between wind direction and wind speed.

EMER CANC and RMP NAV
These guarded switches have guards which are practically invisible in game. They are clear plastic, but much easier to see IRL.

GEAR HANDLE
Real handle has a knurled edge for grip. Fenix has very smooth handle.

CLOCK TEXT
Small label text on the clock should be blue instead of white.

MCDU 2D
When clicking on MCDU to pop-out the 2D view, the keyboard is lost.

RAIN REPELLANT NOZZLE
Seems to be missing from windscreen in 3D model. Cannot see from cockpit.

GPWS TEST
Clicking the GPWS button beside the PFD should initiate a short test sequence, whereas holding the button triggers a much longer sequence. Currently clicking or holding has no difference.

MCDU BLANK BUTTONS
When pressing the MCDU keys that are blank, NOT ALLOWED should appear in the scratchpad. The buttons are not clickable currently.

PACK FLOW and X-BLEED
Rotary selectors seem to have no sound. IRL they are quite loud, positive feeling switches that are clearly audible.

V/S ZERO
Pushing V/S ZERO on FCU during climb or descend causes a much too strong pitching moment. I have seen 0.5G display on the SD when levelling off from an OP CLB at normal speeds. Real aircraft responds very slowly and gently to V/S ZERO.

OXY PAX ON MEMO
After CPC 1+2 and depressurisation. PAX masks auto deploy above CAB ALT 14000ft. This triggers an OXY PAX ON memo on the E/WD. I understand that the memo is green when detected by a CPC, but amber if not. With CPC 1+2 failed, I would expect an amber memo.

ECAM WORDING
Several incorrect wordings or appearances within the ECAM:
FENIX → AIRCRAFT…

CABIN/PRESS → CAB PR
AUTO_FlGHT THRUST LIMITED → No underscore _
ATX/XPDR → ATC/XPDR (one specific failure, cant recall which)
STATUS page title should be underlined
MANEUVRE → MANEUVER

As you can see, whilst I have found a myriad of errors and issues, I am still very happy with the Fenix. Fenix contracted in the systems and ECAM etc from ProSim AR, so have inherited these problems. This will be my daily driver and study source for years to come and I hope that the team can get around to doing some bug fixing and general improvements to this very promising project.

From the FENIX discord, this solved my issue:

For anyone having the issue where the engines fail right after starting them…it seems to have had something to do with the switches on my TCA throttle. I cleared all of my bindings related to the ignition mode switch and the master mode switches and it seems to have gone away…

Thanks, I’m sure there’s plenty more, aside from the performance issues I am reading about above, but this thing is already a great plane thanks to all the work ProSim did over the years and the packaging and polishing done by Fenix so far.

It explains how to enter a route, all the pages and options. This is better than any YouTube tutorial.

I’m not sure how official is the manual, there maybe better manuals out there

I’ve been reading that the Fenix doesn’t support “home cockpits”. Does that mean you can’t read FCU values like speed, heading, altitude and display them OR you can’t even control AP functions with buttons or knobs? I only care about the latter and I see people post LVARs to control the AP buttons. Don’t care if it’s animating in the cockpit as long as it functionally works.

Did you ever get this working? I have my hoppie account and simbrief account and I can only get the FP in the EFP and in the AOC menu init but it never loads in the FMGC init.

Yes, the aircraft has to be started up from cold & dark otherwise it will not load the whole flightplan into the MCDU.

I had Issues with the EFB, Pressed the fingerprint button it just briefly saw the icons then went back showing passcode again, Not sure if this is the issue you are having.

What solved it for me dont load the Fenix setting app prior to loading the sim. When you load the Fenix A320 the app automatically loads, then I could get into the EFB. If that makes sense.

Is there an ability to have separate tiller and rudder axis similar to the FBW?

I’ve been having control issues, when I want to turn to the right (taxi) my throttles go to full power over and over again, I am frustrated with this, can anyone help me??
