As the title says, during climb or cruise phase, the A320 will suddenly skip to the final leg and start losing altitude rapidly as if preparing to land. It happens with both vanilla A320 and FlyByWire mod (stable and development versions).
Is there something I’m doing wrong or is it a bug? I create the flight plan in the Map screen, have the aircraft set to managed altitude and press the AP button after takeoff and all seems to go well until about 10-15 minutes into the flight when the MCDU skips to the final leg out of nowhere.
Edit: I’ve searched for this problem and haven’t found anyone else suffering from this.
I’ve had the same issue. On some STARs/approaches the flight plan just skips to the last leg (the runway). really frustrating as it makes any serious IFR flying basically impossible
Just wondering if either of you set your Baro to Standard? I’ve only been doing that recently (because I saw someone else do it on a stream and thought “that’s what you’re supposed to do”) and the issue has only been occurring since I’ve been doing that. And now, since I’ve stopped doing that, the issue’s gone away. @Ruccoa@JulioBolas
Im having the same issue. Autopilot skips to the last leg like “RW32” during approach. I have to disengage LNAV and adjust heading knob manually. Clearly another bug in the A320 and also in the 787.
