A320 banks left or right when autopilot is engaged

When engaging the default a320neo autopilot (xbox series S) it aggressively banks to the left or the right. It does not happen all the time and when you disengage and engage it again it follows the flight plan normally. Did anyone else have issues with this?

@SuperJensie01 Yep I have this issue on Series X. I hand fly it to above FL100 and line up the GPS. Then when I initiate AP, it banks either left or right like it’s a fighter jet in combat, lol. I also don’t like how deep the turns are while flying the FP. It could be a 10-15 degree turn to the next waypoint but it banks so hard. Im sure the passengers were freaking out!

Exactly! Yesterday i was at fl390 with 30 degrees bank. Glad i’m not the only one.

@SuperJensie01 Yeah I’m sure they will take a look at at some point.

Same trouble for me

Try to check your Control Sensitivity curve. Add some deadzone to them around 10% for all your Elevator, Ailerons, and Rudder Axis. And make sure your Assistance settings are all set to True to Life/Hard. with all flight assistance off.

@Neo4316 So adjusting our sensitivity will fix the AP issue?

If your controls are accidentally sending signals when centered, then fixing the deadzone will solve this problem. If your controls are overriding the AP, then the AP is behaving as expected.

@mdapol Ok I will take a gander. Just FYI, I’ve had my sensitivity set to the same numbers since getting the game last summer. The A320 didn’t do it then. I’ve only noticed it after the latest updates.

Think i figured out when the aggressive banks happen. It seems to be only when your in NAV mode. If the heading is pulled it doesn’t happen to me. This also explains why it does not do it every time, because not all departures can be flown in NAV mode.
