A320 neo goes to previous waypoint when adding an approach

Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it?

No

Brief description of the issue:

When adding an approach to any destination airport though the FMS, the autopilot goes to the last waypoint it has passed (even when approach mode is on), does a 180 and starts the approach.

Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered:

On the left the VFR map shows the direction the plane is heading and the path it is meant to take. You can see that the autopilot is managing the heading on the autopilot panel (left of ATC menu).

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

  1. Get in the a320, set a destination airport in the world map, make it High altitude airways and press fly.
2)Fly to the destination until ATC tells you that “you are [any amount] miles out, approach via [an approach]. Cleared to [waypoint].”
  1. Set up the approach you are given in the FMS and press insert.
  2. Autopilot should fly to the last waypoint it has passed on your route.

Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:

I don’t know what build number it is but the latest stable version on the 22th of April 2022 from the ms-store
