A320 Neo Post Update

The best way to fix it,is fly with a other simulator. The problem is clearly by Asobo that don’t have any knowledge about aeronautic.

Same for me… I program the FMC, start up, take off and activate the AP @ 2000 feet… Immediately right orbit. Have to switch to manual and return to base. It happened during my first Vatsim flight after the update and the controller was not impressed. I red something here to not touch the FMC INI page and it should work. That will mean creating the flight plan in the welcome page and just leave the FMC alone. I will try that out and let you know what happens. I also have the A330 from Mega and the same thing happened there.

Also, my Content Manager wont load. Just spinning…

Rename the community folder and restart the sim. That way content manager should show the files. One of the mods you are using (livery etc.) needs to be updated.

I’ll try that and let you know… Cheers

Just tried again… Made the flight plan in the welcome page, didn’t touch the FMC. The moment I turned on the AP, the A320 went in to a steep right turn. Not even using the Heading would recover it… Only thing that worked was speed and altitude… Very frustrating …

The A330 and A321 are both dependant on the stable version of the FlyByWire neo 32nx so it is best todo your testing from the A320 platform. BUt yes we are all having issues with this atm.

This has been a pretty consistent problem for me, makes trying to practice anything not worth doing, The Travel To feature also completely resets the aircraft i’ve found in the A320 - Squawk, AP Settings,
Slew mode also raises gears, flaps, etc
Just a messy aircraft in general atm

No NAV or HDG following. Both Vanilla and FBW versions. Weekend is coming, the only free time I’ve to enjoy the simulator.

I’ve also had a ton of free time lately from work this week to play the sim and of course now I can’t play it because of this mess, so I feel your pain!

The same thing happens to me but with variations:

-If I take off from the runway head if the flight plan is followed correctly.

-If I take off in a cold & dark door, after 20 minutes preparing everything I take off and … it starts to spin and spin without sense. If I set a fixed course, it doesn’t follow it either.

It is not a problem that you follow the flight plan, it is a problem that you are not following any course.

A320 by default, without mods, with empty community folder

Sorry for my English, I translate it from Spanish

The default A320Neo is working as expected for me , the AP is working , ILS landings are fine (as long as I have entered the weather on the approach screen on the system)

Edit:- OK, just did a flight where ATC sent me to 39k and it struggled to get there, OK to 35k but to get to 39k I had to take over and make it climb and I couldn’t get it to go fast enough. The issue seems to be speed, whether auto managed or when you take over it doesn’t seem to be travelling fast enough. At 37k feet I couldn’t get it above 220 knots, it was almost stalling

Shame that they broke the A320 default and A320nx. I kind of got the sense that it was an oh well more or less from the video. I went away from the video with more of a sense that CRJ is the focus right now. Getting to 3rd party aircraft with their own onboard developed systems like AP is something that will hopefully get this fixed longer term. Short term it’s just update to update,

Man if you have been involved in flight sim since the 90’s you should know that no sim has ever launched with the details and functionality you are asking for. You should also know the patience and flight simming as a hobby are synonymous with each other. How bi-weekly and now monthly updates are not enough to show you the developers care and are working hard to improve the product is beyond me.

The product is a brilliant technical achievement and the future of flight sim. give it a year or so to get completely ironed out and allow some 3rd party study level aircraft to come out.

In the mean time I am enjoying flying around the world in the beautifully modelled TBM 930. Auto pilot works, ILS, approaches, etc. everything looks amazing. It’ll get there, just be patient.

Great, your having a lot of fun also I can see lecturing others about their opinions.

Isn’t that why people put their opinions on the internet in the first place? To be heard and subsequently critiqued and discussed? If you don’t want to here other peoples takes on your thoughts you should just sit in your house and talk to yourself… in my opinion lol.

I’m confused by your comment anyway I’m simply saying I don’t agree with being so unrealistic and negative.

If you think I’m wrong that’s totally ok by the way.

Okay, yet FSX still has more functionality within it’s A321 bar the FMC than this Simulator, I mean I could use the seatbelt sign for realism in FSX… A lot of code could have been reused and reconfigured, I don’t wanna fly around in small GA aircraft, when I use VATSIM in a VA, Telling your consumers you’ve fixed oscillation, when it’s not actually fixed when people are paying $140 AUD for a deluxe version for a majority of the aircraft to have issues. The first few versions of the A320 worked perfectly for me, bar a couple issues I would allow the developers to have wiggle room for, as you said it needs time, but this aircraft is nearly inoperable to anyone wanting to use for realistic purposes. I also don’t want to wait a month for another update which again and again keeps breaking aircraft but ramping up the scenery. It’s not google earth  not to mention Microsoft is projected to make into the billions over the next three years in sales, 100,000 buy the deluxe version = 14.0 Million, and yet it takes nearly a month to get a patch which so far tends to break the game further.

So I’ve played without any mods and although it initially followed the departure path, it went straight at the next waypoint. It was a cold and dark start.

Heading mode kinda worked but it was very slow at turning and always off by 15-30 degrees. ILS approach was also off by 10/15 degrees.

Not sure how it is working for some people but not for others.

So - deleting the vanilla a320 from content manager, re-installing it and then using the latest dev A320nx version seems to be working, at least for the first flight i tried. It is still off by a few degrees but at least it follows a parallel path

You’re joking right? A completely non functional FMC but a switchable seatbelt sign is more realistic than a usable FMC but disabled seatbelt switch.
