I’m serious, the aircraft simply does not appear when a flight has started. I’m 25 feet off the ground on the runway with emgines running, but no aircraft at all.
Tried removing it and downloading again but things remain the same. I can even take off using the outside views basic display, but no aircraft, cockpit at all. Anyone else had this very odd issue? I
First, does this happen with all liveries for the A320?
A livery that is out of date and no longer supported in the sim will cause this.
Another cause is often a mod conflict.
To prove if it is, you would need to try the sim after all your addons (community folder and marketplace) have been removed.
Yes, tried different liveries but still find myself 25 feet off the ground staring down the center line.
Easy way to find if it’s a mod conflict, with the sim running, shut it down using Window’s Task Manager.
The next time you start the sim it will offer an option to choose Safe Mode.
Safe Mode loads the base sim with no extras.
Try that.
The sim doesn’t continually start in Safe Mode after that.
It will only offer this if it unexplainably shut down, which is what using Task Manager does.
Those with a Home Cockpit, and hardware panels would love this !!
Will try safe mode and should have thought of it myself as i’ve used it as a diagnostic tool before. I’ll report back tomorrow but funnily enough i have almost nothing in my community folder and the only recent additions have been thpmdg dc6 and the Boeing 247d. LOL I love radials!
We were blindsided! I noticed a subscript (1) next to the Neo in the selection menu. It looked just like a double instance you’d get from a badly behaving program and that’s what it was. Somnehow the Neo installed twice.
I removed as if I was getting rid of the plane and guess what? One remained in menu. I restarted the sim for good measure and now have a fully working model and am no longer sitting in mid air on the runway.
Thanks for the hgelp and all is now fine. I’m going to look at the registry to see if I can find any further clues but will mark this resolved.
