A320N does not fly approaches

Ok so please watch the video. Real airbus Pilot. Now watch the video I have linked it to the time point it happens. His mouse ran out of batteries lol but this has NOTHING TO DO with what the aircraft does. It completely goes off track and goes direct to the airport coming off the nicely planned approach he was doing. It happens to me every time as well. Its terrible and ruins perfectly good flights! Yeah you can go HDG etc, but that’s wrong, no other sim does this, why is this one doing it!

This is what I have been saying for weeks now and I am sure others, It is one of the biggest and worst bugs in the sim. It IS NOT FLY BY WIRES Fault it is the sim. Please watch the video… It really needs fixing ASAP

Thank you.

Yeapp, this is nothing new… everyone is already aware of this.

I’m already used to it though. Intervene the nav mode to HDG and manually trace the original approach path. I just pretend that I have a avionics malfunction and make a captain’s decision to switch to a backup system to bring it to land.

I understand, but we shouldn’t have to do this. Its madness!

Gavin isn’t a real Airbus pilot. However, some of his moderators are.

The problem will be fixed eventually. But if you remember FSX, no default aircraft back then even had an FMS. So it’s still a slight improvement. It’s a nuisance for sure, but not really madness.

Ok but not having an FMC is not same as it behaving like it does. Im not one for the “Make do” it should not be doing this. If it has an INS/FMC or nothing, it should not be cutting off a plan and going direct on its own. Its wrong whatever way you want to dice it up, it should not be happening it is un-commanded and as such it is madness IMHO.

Haha, I am not trying to defend the bugs and quirks of the MSFS default avionics. You are absolutely right. It should be working correctly.

All I am saying is, that they are working on it. Both Asobo and FBW, so it will soon be fixed and is not worth getting upset about anymore. The bug has ruined more than one approach for me as well, but nothing can be done at this time.

The FBW A32NX is a stand-out freeware. If you have been swimming for longer, you know that this 100% level of accuracy is normally reserved for payware aircraft.

That video of Gavin is funny as hell though. Battery failure in the mouse and AP misbehaving at the same time. What are the chances?
