I stumbled upon a rarity; using the pushback-service on the EFB and leave it in “Moving” in stead of “Pause” renders the aircraft unable to steer on ground. Your nosewheel will turn but the ac keeps going straight ahead.
Couldnt find any reports on this, hopefully this will help anyone else experiencing this.
Besides this: What A Fantastic Addon-mod!
Is the “NW STRG DISC” message shown in the ECAM? if so it looks like the ground crew left the steering pin in

Have you made sure you got your nosewheel steering axis assigned correctly? SU9 introduced a new feature of a separate Nose Wheel Steering Axis. You need to bind this control to an axis as well if you want to have the ability to steer the aircraft on the ground. You also need to check on the EFB itself on the separation between nose wheel tiller and the rudder. If you turn it on, the nose wheel steering axis will take over the nose wheel steering and not the rudder anymore.
It could also be a CG issue. If the aircraft has a CG of a bit too far to the Aft section, there won’t be enough weight load pressing on the nose wheel, in other words, it’s slightly “hovering” above the ground which will lose traction between the wheel and the ground. If this is the case, you won’t be able to turn the aircraft since the aircraft will continue forward even when the wheel turns due to the lack of traction from the nose wheel to the ground.

From discord:
Can’t Steer After Pushback? - Workaround
- Use slew mode (Default Keybind: y) and press it twice.
- U can also try starting EFB pushback, move ur controls around, stop EFB pushback.

Thankyou all - for clever suggestions and solutions! Those well may apply for others having similar problems
For me it was related to the “Moving” and “Paused” function in the EFB pushback service. The only thing that worked was: 1) Call the tug 2) Set the middle button Paused/Moving to -Paused-.
Then the AC would follow the nosewheel direction.
Last night FBW issued another update for the experimental version and it seemed to be fixed now
(Unfortunately it brought back the forced push/shaking when calling the tug)
After new update of FBW this bug is back… i can see my nose wheel moving around but plane keeps moving forward. Very annoying.
