I am not sure these are bugs or simply changes, but with the latest update I notice several things:
-
When the program opens it doesn’t open completely in full screen. Instead of 2 little squares in the very upper left-hand corner of the screen, there’s only one, which means the program isn’t open windowed, full-screen.
-
I notice the A320neo feels different when flying, The slightest joystick movement (Thrustmaster TCA Airbus) seems to move the rudder too, it shouldn’t, it should only bank the aircraft left or right, or up/down. Only turning the stick clockwise or counterclockwise should affect the rudder.
-
I notice the landing guides to the runway do not come on as soon as I acknowledge clearance to land as it used to, now, the landing guide lines don’t appear until I am about 15 miles from the runway.
I liked things better before…

Is this referring to the default A320 or FBW mod?
I’m currently having problems with the FBW A320 where it won’t follow the flight plan since the update, it just flies straight north.
Like you said, I liked it better before the update. The updates always have to mess something up…

Have you checked your graphics settings make sure it’s set to full screen at your native resolution?
Have you tested your twist rudder sensitivity? Sometimes we don’t realise that when we move the joystick to bank the aircraft, our hands slightly twist the joystick to one side without realising and this slight movement moves the rudder. I set my twist rudder sensitivity to be -75% on both sides, and deadzone of 15%.
Not sure about the landing guides, I never use them since they’re a distraction.

Yes, my graphics settings are correct, full screen. It’s a minor annoyance that I have to manually enlarge the Window.
As far as the sensitivity of the stick, I’ll see if I can either lock the rudder while in flight or else change the sensitivity.
When you are ready to land without the landing guides, how do you know a) which runway is the run you are designated to land at, and b) which end of the runway to land on? Those are the 2 reasons I’ve been using the landing guides, otherwise I am not sure where to land!
Thanks,
Jerry
Well I fly A320 exclusively in IFR. Which means, all my navigation and approach to runway directions are managed by the flight computers.
My flight plan is directly set to a runway. And even if the ATC assigns me to a runway as I approach. I enter them into the MCDU, and the Nav flight path with take me to be in-line with the runway. I just keep my eye on my Navigation Display for the directions.
Then I also tuned into the ILS frequency, press the APPR button, and the aircraft will lock onto the glideslope signal that will automatically bring the aircraft down to the runway. I just disengage AP at the 100 feet callout for my manual flare.
But that’s just me.

What version are you guys running to even get the screens to power up? After the last update from MS Asobo, I no longer get flight display panels, just black screeens.
As I mentioned in the other post. I use the Experimental Custom FBW version in that video. But I’m currently using the A32NX Development version since I want to use the PMP A330-300 aircraft at the same time.
I’m even livestreaming my long haul flight right now:
Very nice! You make it look so easy!
That happened to me only once. But when I rebooted it hasn’t happened again.
Developer version is working fine!
I had a couple of perfect flights, then last night I was flying, autopilot lost track of the magenta line and flew me into a mountain at night.
I think the loss of autopilot following is a MSFS issue of some sort, more then a FBW issue.
The FBW version is so much better than the stock plane.
Funny you mentioned issues with the 320. My grandkids likes FS. I set up the A320 in the air for one of them. It had zero ailerons for about 60sec then came to life. Never seen that before. This was the stock version. Haven’t been on since.
This is what I do, toggle:
ALT-ENTER … full screen please (if not already)
ALT-ENTER … not-full screen please (if not already)
Yeah, the AP definitely seems more buggy than before in the mod since the update.
