You’re not using Legacy interaction mode. Do buttons and knobs glow blue when you mouse over them? If so you’re in Lock mode.

Thanks, and yes they do go blue. Okay, I was a bit confused with the Modern to Legacy thing. I just found the Lock vs Legacy so things are good to go now. Arrows now appear. I learn something new every day.
“Modern” and “Legacy” are for Flight Model. Mouse interaction modes are “Lock” or “Legacy”. You are in Lock. You don’t have to switch to Legacy; the knobs and switches work perfectly fine in Lock mode. They just work differently. You should use whichever mode you prefer. I like the new Lock mode myself.
For Lock mode, you can just mouse over a knob and use your mousewheel to turn it. For push or pull, you either just left-click or you hold left-click and simultaneously right-click. Depends on the switch/knob. Once you get the hang of it, it works very smoothly. Or switch back to Legacy mode if you prefer.
