In the last couple of weeks, my A32NX takes off OK (post input from Simbrief) and shortly afterwards, both engines stop and the co-pilot and central screens go off.
I know I could buy the new Fenix A320 but I don’t understand why this is happening. I am currently using the development version, having given up on the experimental version for the same reason.
Only the Navigraph folders are in the Community folder, along with the FBW one.
Is anyone else experiencing this and have you found a soultion?
Upgrade it. Reinstall it switch versions then go back to the version you like. Sometimes you get unlucky when they put out an update that doesn’t really work but it is always quickly fixed.
Turn off the flight assistant options. They interfere with the FBW systems. The only flight assistant option you can safely use, is the co-pilot ATC assistant- not he AI pilot or anything else.
Ok.
Under Assistance Options on the “piloting” tab" keep everything to “off”. You can still access AI radio communications toggle via the toolbar at the top center of the screen if need be. Make sure you ONLY use that, if you need to.
The taxi ribbon is fine as it is under the “Navigation Aids”- Should not affect anything.
Has this happened more than once? I’ve only happened to experience this one time months ago, climbing out of KSEA 16L. Has never happened again…
If you’re constantly having this issue with the FBW (which version?) You may want to try a different version, or do a clean install of the FBW. They provide instructions on their site regarding a clean install. Matter of fact, their new installer has an uninstall feature which will remove the aircraft from all relevant folders, so you can start fresh. Download the new installer, if you haven’t got it already, and uninstall the aircraft. Reboot your PC for good measure and then reinstall the aircraft.
Keep in mind you may lose your custom camera views if you’ve created any ( have not done it myself) so you may want to backup your cameras.cfg file for that aircraft.
Thank you for your suggestions. I had not appreciated that there was an “uninstall” option alongside the installer and had only deleted the directory within the Community folder before reinstalling. Your suggestion to use the available uninstaller worked.
I have reinstalled the experimental version. All is now well.
