A32NX unable to reach high altitudes

Hi guys, any idea how to reach high altitudes without the plane to pitch so drastically? I am using the A32NX and can only reach around 30.000 feets but beyond this the plane will pitch to almost 10%-15%!

Thanks!

your center of gravity might be off, and check your airspeed. You might be too slow.

How do you adjust the center of gravity? I am on climb Modus auto throttle but I have noticed that the plane struggles to gain speed

Check your throttle is set on the CL detent. I just finished a flight in the A32NX, cruising at FL390 without any issues. Climbed there with no problems. Then cruised for about an hour at mach 0.79

Yes i have it all the time, once take off, on Cl position. Any other Tipp? Eng anti ice should be off?

Hard to say, but maybe send a screen grab of the PFD so everyone here can see the modes whn this occurs, that might help shed some light on the matter

Yep! I will do this on my next flight!

You may be having icing issues if you had passed through clouds on the way up. Try turning on the anti-ice for the engine and/ or the wings.

I keep anti-ice on at all of my flights… better be safe than sorry…

Before take off always turn on probe/windshield anti ice, doesn’t matter it’s clear sky or not, you prob droping down due to probes geting iced, also if it’s cloudy, turn on wing, engine anti ice, or if there is any fog, visual moisture, when you reach cruising altitude and SAT shows -40 or more you can turn off probe/windshield anti ice.

Agreed about anti-ice - make sure it’s on. I’ve noticed that when Anti-ice is off, trim goes through the roof (simulating ice buildup on the control surfaces I suppose) and this causes me to be unable to climb at all. Haven’t had this issue since turning anti-ice on though.

so this is the pitch i am getting at the moment with 36.000 feets

you guys are having similar results?

If anything, the A320 in MSFS goes too high too easily. The real aircraft when fully loaded should not be capable of reaching FL390 until it burns off some of the fuel. It’s too easy to reach high altitudes in the sim version.

Isn’t this normal?

That’s a 5 degree pitch, which seems a bit high, but it is dependent on many factors, not the least of which is weight and airspeed. Probably would be expecting around 2.5 degrees and I think that’s about what I had on my flight yesterday.

The Center of gravity might be off a little much. Check on payload and fuel distribution. And to enter the right ZFWCG values in the MCDU.

No issues on my end. I was able to reach FL360 today

I usually cruise at FL390 on my A320 myself no problem. And usually pitch at around 2-3 degrees.

5° is indeed a bit high, but the pitch attitude at a certain speed depends basically only on weight.

At 142000lbs and M.77 the pitch attitude should be ~ +2.5°.

Entering the weight values in the mcdu is it really affecting the aircraft? I though this was still not really simulated at the moment…
