A32nx V0.3.1

I have the same problem (using the A32NX mod 0.3.1). The first time it happened, it was when I disabled the AP on final approach of an ILS landing. I noticed that during the approach, the angle of attack seemed much higher than usual and the AP was porpoising through the glide slope. After disabling AP the plane pretty much flew straight into the ground and didn’t respond to my inputs.

Since then, I’ve found that the problem happens whenever I try to land (visual, instrument, challenges, etc.) All of a sudden the plane will stop accepting pitch up inputs (pitch down and roll left/right still work). It seems to have something to do with flap settings, but I haven’t been able to isolate it yet. This only started occurring with the latest patch.

I’m still not 100% sure it’s a bug, or a new bit of realism that was implemented and I’m not familiar with.

Yes it worked for me! As you said adjusting the sensitivity solved the issue!

This is for sure a new sim bug that affects certain controllers. I had on the previous updates no issue at all! i.e AP was reacting to my commands

Unable to to pitch up in order to flare is happening to me too. If you look at the trim wheel it is full up deflection (there is no up elevator available, so it just dives in)
I think this is a auto-trim problem. I have tried altering the CofG to be either nose heavy or tail heavy in the fuel/balance settings, makes no difference. With everything balanced and CofG within range, the aircraft should be in the green settings in cruise, its not. They broke the A320 yet again with the last update. I have tried the basic and A32nx versions, crash on approach every time due to lack of “up” elevator. I cant even “power out” to avoid a crash because I just overspeed as it wont climb.
What a mess. I just hope the A32nx geniuses can fix it again. It was all working so well before the latest Asobo cockup patch. Broke more than it fixed again.

This is an interesting find. It will need more testing on my part, but I too saw a lack of up elevator control in certain conditions.

I saw this whilst climbing after take off, prior to engaging AP. Also once during a go around and trying to input up elevator, I got no response? This was only corrected by re engaging AP, which dutifully climbed to my reset go around altitude.

I will test this out with different flap settings. We know the real Airbus has “Laws” built in to the ELAC SEC systems. So you can’t pull too much Alpha. Maybe this is actually in the flight model and requires tweaking?

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I have been flying the A320 since launch, had the usual “minor” issues and niggles like everyone else, but since the last “patch” it has become unflyable for me due to the “autotrim” issue and lack of elevator at landing. I have tried maximum forward CofG and max rear CofG. With max rear applied, I would have expected the trim to run forwards to counteract the heavy tail, it doesn’t, it continues to go to pitch up trim. The autotrim “logic” seems all wrong, and only since the last patch for me. I agree, one of the the “laws” is broken in my opinion, it should not be applying full up trim when the aircraft is correctly balanced (I do understand that the trim will change with CofG shifts, speed changes or flap settings, but the system is not autocorrecting)

Awesome yes it does work glad I could help you

Yes. I have that as well.
The only cure I’ve found is to turn both A/P and A/T off, and land manually.
Even then, very little elevator authority, have to use throttle to control.
Bumpy landing for sure, till you practice a bit!

Turning off AT was going to be my next course of action but hit the deck by then. Why do they keep breaking this plane after every patch?

If you haven’t seen yesterday’s developer Q&A, both MS and ASOBO admitted they rushed patches out. They do seem to be taking the right steps to correct that though.

Works perfect, I’m really satisfied. Also VNAV works fine. The only thing I noticed is that after disabling the autopilot at 1000 feet it goes down quickly. It seems to be losing “power” even though I am flying 140 knots.

Thank you very much!

Yup, that’s why you need throttle. I believe what is happening is we are actually putting the airbus into “direct law” giving us manual control. With the A/T on, and A/P off I believe it is alternate law, and that is supposed to force nose down at low speeds.

You’re right about the trim. I saw the trim wheel and tried to increase trim, but the autotrim kept pushing it back down.

I haven’t tried in the stock A20N yet, but I will later today. I suspect the problem is with Asobo’s code, not the flybywire mod. I think the A32nx project is focused on adding systems, not modifying the aircraft flight model.

I would like to support the project, maybe I’m blind but I can’t find a paypal link. Any hints?

Didn’t make any difference, stock or mod, with me.

So i just finished a flight with the A32nx from LIMC to EDDM. Take off, climb and cruise went quite well. Descend was also ok, however in the approach i got some issues. The autopilot suddenly turned right with a awkward bank angle, and i had to disconnect it. Closing to the runway i felt i lost control of the plane for some seconds by landing almost in a crash. I dont know what happened… i guess i need to test more…

actually the lading was quite challenging since i can barely see the runway! i need to press the space bar in order to lift the camera because the plane is descending in a quite high angle (at least 5% pitch)!

Anyone experiencing aileron flapping during middle of flight after the japan patch?

Tested in both A320 and A320NX, when i fly faster that the managed speed in fmc, the aileron in both wing will flapping rapidly, resulting “rocking” on the aircraft body during cruise

This will happen at any altitude, with speed of 340kts (just below the redline)

Which download is correct?

The latest one (today) has, 197 Files, 43 Folders.

The one I downloaded a couple of days ago has,195 Files, 43 Folders. This is the one I’m using. No issues. why are there two extra files in todays download?

It would be helpful if they could place a small txt file in the download stating version and date.

Thanks.

I believe that customized sounds were added in the last 12 hrs, that’s why there are more files.
