As the creator of this wishlist request it’s disappointing to see that a favourites list has not made it into MSFS 2024. Worse yet the Free Flight aircraft selection UI is a regression over 2020 as it doesn’t even have categories like prop, turboprop, jets etc.
We’ve had almost 500 votes now and the request for an aircraft favourites list has been on the dev tracker top wishlist items for over a year. It’s been marked as under investigation with no further details provided.
With MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe at 95 aircraft and Aviators at 125 this feature is needed now more than ever. Even a sort by last flown option would be a major improvement over nothing.
For MSFS 2020 there was a 3rd party developer that released an addon to allow set aircraft favourites. If MS Asobo aren’t going to provide this functionality then hopefully the SDK allows for someone to create a similar 2024 addon
