Sometimes I want to start a flight near landing. I’d love to be able to put in a flight plan, and then just say “start this flight at 70% complete.” I don’t want to have to figure out coordinates, speed up time, or mess with slew mode. I just want to start with engines running, at full speed on descent, and go.
i just found out about a nice tool that has exactly what you are looking for, there is a 14 day free trial. see this link and the ‘‘Position’’ feature in the documentation.

That looks cool. One reason I won’t buy it is because I prefer flight-simming in VR. Once there, I never switch to outside apps or take off the headset. That looks very neat though!
You can skip to parts of the flight using the toolbar at the top in flight.

In MSFS? Didn’t know that. I’ll check it out. That would be a lifesaver!

Sorry can’t remember which button it is but as long as you have a flight planned you should be able to jump to different stages.
