About liveries and mods

So where we should install the mods and liveries now?
My liveries are not working

My guess. Until AS release their livery pack, we won’t do it the right way.

And probably things are being changed under the hood. If I remember correctly, some planes like the 747 had issues with default mapping

And where we should place the files now?

Keep all of your add-ons out of your community folder and use this super fantastic utility to create a symbolic link to all of your add-ons which are stored somewhere else on the same or another suitable storge drive! :grinning:

V1PERPT, I have discovered if I select the livery that I next want to use it will change to my selected livery the next time I use flight simulator.

Please watch the video review of the symbolic linker application as it suggests ways to organise all your add-on files. I have an individual folder for Liveries, (you can sub-divide this into aircraft types). I have a folder for all the default aircraft mods such as the A32NX. Create a separate folder for Airports and another for city mods and so on. The great thing about this is, one does not have to move all these mods when you update the simulator. Only select the mods that you intend to use for your flight. MSFS 2020 does not have to load a full Community folder of mods at start-up, thus speeding up the loading time of the simulator. BRGDS. So you suggest to create separate folders to each addon?
Example: Liveries in a Liveries folder , Scenery in a Scenery folder etc… ? and not everything together in community folder

Yes, that is the idea. It really depends on how organized you want to be. I like to keep a ‘tidy cupboard’ however, it’s not mandatory. They guy in the video shows us how easy it is to manage your addons using this application. BRGDS. Charles
