Hi , I am about to take the plunge to get MSFS 2024 from 2020 therefore I am looking to get new hardware. I was wondering if the hardware below would be adequate to run a nice smooth sim; only looking for maybe 30-40 FPS constantly with (1) High settings (2) Addon Airports (3) Beyond ATC (4) iFLY 737 MAX 8 / PMDG 737. I am sick and tired of constantly tweaking in my 2020 just to stay between 25-30 and lots of shutters Here is what I am looking to get. Hopefully this is good enough. I currently have a 2560x1440 @60Hz monitor which I intend to keep since I am not going to 4K.
Here are the specs of what I am looking to get.
AMD Ryzen™ 7 9800X3D CPU
Video Card
GeForce RTX 5070 Ti - 16GB
Memory
32GB DDR5-6000MHz RGB RAM - I may increase it to 64gb

I have a far less fancy system - 5700X3D processor with a 4060ti 16gb card and constantly get 30-40 FPS even in VR. In 2D I often run dual screens. With what you are proposing you should have no issues.

I’d not suggest 64 GB of RAM unless you plan to live-stream your MSFS flights or simultaneously run a RAM-intensive application while using MSFS. I’ve never seen MSFS use anywhere near 32GB. As @Redeyesjm says, don’t skimp on the PSU - if you have extra cash, spend it there - or on a top-notch cooling system - rather than RAM.
I don’t own an RTX (I have an RX 9070 XT, which works very well with my Intel Core i7-12700K at 4K) so can’t speak to that hardware, other than saying that having at least 16GB is good. This article may also be of interest to you.

Thank you all for your responses and valuable input, I really appreciate it. I thought it might be good, but you never know until you get confirmation from others who have got experiences using the product with various hardware configuration. I really want to just concentrate on flying rather than spending 60 % of my time lowering settings to get a comfortable flight.

I built this system 6 years ago actually for 2020.
Still going strong with 2024 on Ultra/High settings.
From start it was an 8GB NV card but one of the fans burned up after almost 2 years so they replaced it under warranty with a 12GB.

This is my currently spec below (which I bought in 2021) and I can barely run 2020 on it. It runs great bare bones but once I add (fly in and or out of) KJFK/ KSFO/ KLGA add on airports, BeyondTC or FSHud with traffic and iFLY 737 Max 8; forget it. I spend so much time tweaking to get a smooth flight (30 FPS Max) it’s really not worth it. Hence the reason I am upgrading and heading to 2024. If I going to spend at least $3,000 + US to upgrade might as well upgrade to run 2024 and last for a few years
