I don’t believe it can. But if I remember right, one user found a workaround. If you re-bind the zoom to be middlemouse click plus wheel instead of just mouse wheel, it wasn’t detected by switches or rotaries. I never tested this, and I may be remembering this wrong, but I believe that to be correct.
