As an avid flight sim enthusiast from the beginning (true 1980’s beginning), (now almost 70 years old) (Private Pilot with endorsements since 1970), I want to congratulate the 'rejuvenation effort from MS & Asobo & all the development partners.
Like most / all previous releases of flight sim software, community (posted) reaction is usually (always) heavily weighted to very critical of most everything. Understood, I understand frustration.
However, upon purchase of our new 2020 Sim, also following through with all updates & constructive forums posts, I find the current version to be an amazing upgrade from FSX, and I’m experiencing notable improvements which each subsequent upgrade. I highly respect the effort by the development teams, and our community interest in the sim. I look forward to continued development and improvements as possible.
I have participated in 3rd party beta teams, and hold similar reservations about the “control” factors MS places on it’s copyright, and 'Marketplace. However, the technical improvements far exceed the restraints, IMO, and the “Marketplace” seems to work flawlessly (for me). Convenient, quick, and respectful of 3rd party offerings.
Conclusion, I hope the forum can remain positive for the achievements recognized in the newest sim program. It is thoroughly enjoyable for many - including me !
