If I want to train landings or autolanding in a320neo2 and start the flight checking only arrival, Runway ILS, Low IFR routes click fly. Let the sim adjust itself than pressing the ACTIVE PAUSE I can’t input any data into the flight computer and change any buttons in cockpit. Active Pause does not let me do it. WHY?
Because it pauses the entire simulation. The sim needs to be actively running to make those changes.

Sorry cannot find the answer to my question
It was answered above.
I am really sorry but there are several youtube videos showing autoland of 320neo2 where they start the simulator flight just by entering the arrival airport ils runway and then pausing the simulator with ACTIVE PAUSE in order to dial inputs to the flight computer. Please see:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnbPWb9pPyQ
which shows a flight to LFLL.
i understand your question, and i concur
active pause is extremely useful in that it allows you to interact with the cockpit
very useful to setup things, and find out how things work without flying into a mountain
the a320v2 (and others) since they are study level models, dont allow you to do that
it would be nice if they did
How come that it works in several videos inclusive the one I posted above?
The linked video is from 2 years ago, so it can’t be the A320v2 – it must be the v1 A320, which is an entirely different implementation. Perhaps the new one refuses to run the avionics during active pause, while the old one allowed it?
