We need support for combi type of aircraft in fs2024 career mode to support both passengers and cargo on the same flight and we need some combi aircraft for that support like the combi 737 400
Just a quick check before I raise a bug: Is someone able to do a VIP charter service private using the columbia 400 ? I was able to buy the columbia 400 for my VIP company but when I select a ācharter service privateā career mission I can not select the columbia 400 (but I can select my other VIP charter private planes. I did an aircraft check-up and some repairs but this specific plane is still not usable. Even charter service private report that the columbia 400 is comptatible with the specialization ā¦
I might be wrong but I donāt think you can use any other plane unless they are in the purchase section of that business As yet, until they enable and unlock more for Career mode we are stuck with those few. Someone else can correct me if I am mistaken!
We should be able to choose appropriate plane as per the mission as well as livery.
Oh I hope this is right - if by commercial it means Career airliner
Coming from the rotary wing side of this. Right now as of the first week of March 2025. You are still limited on what aircraft you can use in career mode. And thatās still pretty buggy. I bought a used H125 for 925k for cargo hook ops on my cargo company and couldnāt use it at all despite spending around an additional 750k going through mx inspections and fixes and still couldnāt use it on ANY missions, it would let me transfer it to airports, but not to any oil rigs. Despite even going through individual maintain section bits. It still sat there as red despite literally every tiny bit of the helo being fixed and even repainted. So I ended up having to just sell it and go back to grinding on pax missions in my R66. Which, again, you buy and cannot change the paint of it new or used btw. Even after a repaint. I have the aviator edition of MSFS 2024, and still in career mode you donāt have any other options to fly other helos aside from the Cabri G2, R66, next option up is the H125. Which is 1.9+ million $ brand new. Meanwhile, the aviator edition comes with about 4 other helicopters you could use and canāt still.
As I understand it, itās the same thing for fixed wing. MS/Asobo still havenāt allowed users to use all the versions given to you in the more expensive editions of MSFS 2024. Itās still the same basic aircraft avaiable at launch in November of 2024. This also includes 3rd party addons like PMDG, etc cannot still be used in career mode either.
I feel your pain.
Itās actually worse than you say as the Flight Design CT I have in my fleet has been withdrawn from career mode, although I think that is a bug introduced by the Beta - I have reported it such.
Iāve had a good read through the career mode SDK and as long as as the plane/heli meets the criteria it can be enabled for career.
So as an example of one criterion, something used for Light Cargo missions must have āWheelsā or āBig Wheelsā - Skis and Floats are out.
Weāre just in the interim launch postion where the accessible fleet is what it is.
I shall be very glad when we get past it as I donāt really care for the three aircraft the basic MSFS version provides for my favourite mission: Light Cargoā¦
To get past where we are we need SU1 and the Marketplace and that cannot come soon enough. I am very ready to pay real money for a premium 3rd party plane for light cargo missions - obv I would still need to buy it as well with credits in career. It just needs the work to be done and that cannot come soon enough.
I recognise youāve already paid for your fleet by buying the Aviator edition, but the principle is just the same, the developers just need to do the work to enable them in career.
Fingers crossed SU1 & the Marketplace is the turning point - I only use career mode and while I want to buy some premium native 2024 planes I certainly wonāt if I cannot use them
SU1 has gone through I think something like 6 different updates since the end of January. I saw someone say, allegedly thereās over 1000 bug fixes in SU1. Who knows how many or what else that will grow by, by the time it actually makes it out of beta. Iām trying to be patient, I purposely waited until January to get into this sim and Iām still rather taken aback at how long itās taken them to do anything major aside from small maintenance patches since November. But I guess as complex as this sim is, thereās a lot thatās broken and needs to be addressed yet. I know some of the promises made were that most of the aircraft that were sold with the sim will be compatible in career mode. Itās more a question of how much longer until that happens.
Good news for you. the C172 Classic is now available in career.
I am pleased to see that the Cirrus SR22T is now available in career. I have replaced tow of my older C172 aircraft with two brand new SR22Ts.
Is there a list of aircraft that are currently available for career? I found an older list, but it would be nice to see whatās been added in the updates.
Yeah to just have yhe choice between the broken.ES-30 and the not so great modeled MAX 8 is bugging me.
And to not be able to use the airbuses from 2020 in career is a bit annoying especially as thry are available in marketplace, but hopefully something arrives when they send out this weeks development update.
