Add more Garmin instruments, like the G500/G600 and GI275

Please add the Garmin G500 and G600 avionics suites to the sim. These are common real-world retrofits that brings older panels up to modern glass cockpit functionality, especially when combined with a GTN750 or other navigators.

The G1000 is very specific to a limited amount of certain types of new-build aircraft and is unrealistic as a drop-in retrofit for aircraft not certified as such. That leaves developers of sim GA aircraft with few realistic options other than steam panels. And don’t get me wrong, steam panels are great and should also always be an option, but ignoring the G500/G600 and other retrofit contemporaries (including the G5 and GI275) is ignoring a large segment of modern general aviation.

I’ll also add that the G500 is more widely compatible than the G3X, which is not approved for multi-engine aircraft. It’s basically a universal upgrade for light GA aircraft. The G600 isn’t far off and it’s made for slightly larger aircraft.

Changed the thread title to reflect that the G600 should be part of the request as it’s complementary and very similar to the G500.

G500/G600 avionics support would be an awesome yet beneficial addition.

Here is a good example of a G500 setup - this one being a newer G500Txi (and GTN750, GTN650, and GI275). This should be focused on more than the very limited G1000 as it is compatible with a far wider range of aircraft.

Shame we can’t have realistic “turnkey” glass instruments to customize our planes with in the base sim. It feels like the G500 shares a lot of the same infrastructure as the G1000. Seems like that’d be a good target to broaden our panel options.

Imagine the possibilities!
