Hello. I got two new airports for my simulator. One freeware and a paid airport… But there is a lack of parking spaces for general aviation. Can I add a few more myself? If so, is it easy and how do i do it?
I also wanted to remove some static decorative planes that unnecessarily occupy parking spaces. Thank you!
You use the SDK as explained here: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/adding-parking-slots-to-existing-airports/284705
To remove static objects, you use an exclusion rectangle in the SDK as explained here: SDK Documentation 16 and Exclusion Rectangles
There are also many tutorials on YouTube that explain the SDK and what you can do with it.
OK, thanks. I will try it tomorrow
Your SDK link is broken and I’m trying to find this exact answer!
First, the links still work for me.
Second, here is another link to a really nice little app that allows you to set up a project to have access to the parking spots (and all other objects, paths, etc.) , so you can add, delete or change them: Airport2Project. This and the SDK work quite well together! The app is very fast, too!
Airport2Project makes the existing airport editable with the SDK.
