Need to add axis assignments for oil cooler and cowl flaps instead of only +/- ones. Some of us have extra levers available. I assign the +/- ones to levers but it’s only on/off.
I agree, and voted. I can do it in SPAD with the Wilga, which has proportional cowl/oil cooler flaps that the devs mapped to ‘Spoiler Axis.’ They both move together, but that’s not a huge issue for me. It’s just nice to be able to adjust them throught a range with a Bravo TQ lever.
You should be able to do the same with the in-sim Spoiler Axis IN THAT PLANE.
But your point is well taken. If it’s a proportional function, it should have a dedicated Simconnect so the default planes could have it, and 3rd Party devs wouldn’t have to write ‘cheat codes.’
And carb heat too. Why not have an axis? Especially aircraft like the Beaver or Beech 18, or DC3. Have all these levers and have to use the mouse. Even the 172’s cowl flaps…

With 2024 on the horizon I was just searching to see if I was making a dupe for this and it was my own request I forgot about… Between these levers and the map zoom these are about the only things I have to regularly use the mouse for once in the air and I don’t have an elaborate setup.
