Add "Send to avionics" in EFB Flight planner to ALL aircraft (MSFS2024)

@CasualClick Hello,
Any news about Inibuild to add the new EFB to the default Airbus instead of their own default tablet ?

I don’t know - Volunteer Staff have no insider info in this regard. May I suggest you inquire with Inibuilds on their Discord? They may be able to share what they know.

Thanks,
I think it should be up to Asobo and Microsoft to impose the use of the new tablet on publishers, especially for default aircraft.
Especially as I’d already contacted IniBuild on their forum and they’d replied that it was up to MS to “order” developments and updates.

At the moment, if you’re flying an A320 or A321, you can’t send your flight plan from the new EFB.

What do you think @Jummivana ?

Well somewhere I have heard that the airbus might be used in career mode so if that’s true Asobo will have to make arrangements with inibuilds to make the EFB ususable with the inibuilds aircraft as well.

Trying to plan a flight and using the Inibuilds A320N or A321N in MSFS 2024, I’m a bit disappointed to see that other than the destination, nothing carries over from the in-game EFB.

For example, I need to do double-work to re-enter all the weight and fuel in the plane EFB (that is not the same as the in-game EFB). Same for the alternate airport.

Can Asobo or Inibuilds make those planes compatible with EFB?

Ok now MCDU is automatically filled when starting a flight. That’s great!

For inibuilds aircraft?

At least in the A320N from Inibuilds I tried.

As a military user of the Airbus A400, the “send to avionics” is a must have as SimBrief is not compatible with military flight planning. Moreover, along with this request, the creation of waypoints using LatLong references should be possible. Currently, the process to create a waypoint allows entering coordinates and waypoint name but there is no saving possibility…
Thanks to Asobo and Inibuilds to consider this…

Does anyone know of a list available someplace that contains MSFS 20/24 aircraft that actually fully support the “Send to ATC and Avionics” function on the EFB (Especially Jet Aircraft)?

Thanks all…

At this point I believe it’s 100% of default aircraft that are 2024-native - which is to say 100% of the Standard, Deluxe, and Premium Deluxe aircraft, but none of the ones exclusive to the Aviator edition.

Unless you’re asking about 3rd party as well?

The elephant in the room is that Microsoft has created a flight planning system that is independent of SimBrief. Perhaps MS want a slice of Navionics revenue?

Developers have integrated SimBrief into flight plans, because that was the only solution a year or two ago.

But along comes the EFB in every aircraft and bang!

Individual plane developers have to write code to support the EFB, there’s nothing that Asobo can immediately do to force that.

So this wish, well intentioned, is outside the ability of Asobo.

To make matters worse, the EFB is still a work in progress (e.g., performance and payload).

This is true, but looking at the big picture, most developers are able to (and will) simply use default avionics which have the EFB integration out of the box.

I think it depends on the plane. Small GA could use the default avionics.

But the Airbus is a complex machine with unique avionics of up to 11 computers and many flight laws.

Yep, airliners do typically use custom systems, but they’re just a small number of aircraft in the sim. Airliner simmers forget this, sometimes.

There’s the rub. GA pilots forget how simple their systems are, sometimes.

I’m a fan of the Airbus and the Fenix A320 simulator. Fenix already have a very realistic A320 simulation, according to real life pilots like A330 Driver on YouTube.

I admit to liking the Airbus above other planes, but its good there is a selection of plane types available, so that everyone can pick their favourite plane and enjoy flying it.

No forgetting here - just acknowledging that they’re a minority of aircraft. My larger point here is that all the default airliners support this feature and Working Title has supplied the API necessary for any developer to add the feature as well. There’s nothing MS/Asobo can do to force third parties to integrate the feature.
