For those who may not be interested in study level aircraft, don’t have the funds to acquire said study level aircraft or just prefer a variety of aircraft rather than complete detail on each model, will Asobo release more in-house aircraft? Particularly aircraft of the types we already have like: additional airliners, additional turboprops, additional private jets?
Possibly, but they should finish what they have currently, before introducing more.
They already said that they will focus on improving the systems (G1000 etc.) that the sim provides and can be used by third party aircraft rather than implementing more aircraft.
Given limited resources I think it’s the best approach since many aircraft (default and 3rd party) will benefit from the changes at once, just like the community G1000 mod has proven.
I guess if they introduce helicopters, gliders etc there will be default (maybe paid) aircraft coming with that upgrade but other than that I would assume we have to wait for 3rd party.
Honestly, the range especially with premium deluxe is quite wide already. Once they all work well and the systems get more complete, I don’t see that much room for new aircraft that would really improve the variety since the differences to existing ones wouldn’t be that big. But that’s just me.
Definitely.
Aircraft take time to get right, so I expect any new planes to take time to arrive.
I’m less interested in system depth and more in variety of different models available to fly. I’m more of a casual player. That’s why I would like to see more executive jets, like Bombardier, turboprops like the ATR and Q400, and more airliners like the Airbus A380 and A350, as well as the Boeing 737, made by Asobo (simpler detail).
I don’t necessarily agree with there being enough variety just because all the different types of planes have one or two representatives. I wouldn’t consider a car list, in a racing game, of a Ford Focus RS, a Mercedes E63, Jaguar F-Type and Lamborghini Huracan, to be a complete list just because hot-hatches, sedans, grand tourers and supercars, each have a representative, if you get what I mean.
There is a huge difference between “complete list” and “enough variety”.
But I don’t argue about your opinion, totally valid. I just disagree from my point of view. Currently even casual players of the sim have too many issues with existing aircraft and ATC and weather and generic scenery and CTDs and and and…
In the last Dev Q&A they briefly mentioned this (paraphrased) “there will be more planes from us, but it’s not the right time to announce anything right now”.
There are a lot of issues with the current aircraft that need to be worked out before I’d release any more.
Yeah, a ‘complete’ list would be every aircraft flying being made available. That’s not realistic. Complete is more in the sense of a good number of them. Making MSFS a bit like the Forza, or GT, of planes. Not all the planes but a good amount of them.
Agree. They need to sort out the current ones first. Fortunately, there seems to be a long time of support still to come.
If the planes were as complete as the ones in the base edition of the sim, that would be great.
If they’re an incomplete mess like the Premium Deluxe planes, I’d rather get 3rd party.
