Why do addon planes like the DC-3 and various fighter jets show up parked at airports? Is this normal? Any way to prevent it?

If you’re comfortable editing the aircraft.cfg files then look for all instances of “isAirTraffic” and make sure it’s = 0 and not 1. This should only be set to 1 for low detail models meant for AI use but some developers have it enabled by default on their regular models for some reason.

I’ve checked some of them - all show 0’s, not 1. Any other reason they might appear?

In the sim I have the setting “USE GENERIC PLANE MODELS (AI TRAFFIC)” set to ON

Also if you have any extra liveries you’ve downloaded you’ll need to check the aircraft.cfg file in those too.

Still getting the DC-3, Corsair, and DC-6 showing up parked at airports. I’ve changed the aircraft files to show isairtaffic=0 for the planes and liveries.

Ok, just to be absolutely sure, you’re using “isAirTraffic=0” right? Beyond that, I don’t know, sorry, I had been seeing the DC-6s and Corsairs too but not since I updated the cfg files.
