Addressing FPS Issues and Frame Generation with High-End Systems

Hello everyone,

I’ve noticed that many users, even those with high-end systems, are experiencing FPS issues and reporting that their frame generation is not working. After some investigation, I believe I have found a potential solution to this problem. It’s unclear whether this issue occurs only when the developer mode is enabled, but it’s worth a try.

Solution: Enabling Frame Generation

To enable your frame generation, follow these steps:

  1. Enable frame gen in your graphical options (if you have it available)
  2. While in developer mode, navigate to the Options tab.
  3. Disable the “SMART DOCKING SYSTEM” option.

Your frame generation should activate immediately, and your FPS should improve significantly.

While I can’t guarantee this solution will work for everyone, it has resolved the issue for myself and several others. Please give it a try and see if it helps with your performance problems.

I am not certain if this can be classified as a bug, but at least we are now aware of this workaround.

Amazing find.

Was getting so frustrated with 14900k and 5090 only getting 40 fps in NYC, but now 142fps!
