I’m using a Reverb G2.
Are either of these things possible? Any cfg file tweaks, or anything like that?

I don’t know the answer to your question, but I would be very interested in learning if either or both of these is possible. My searches on the web have been fruitless.
I’m glad I’m not using Oculus anymore, but I miss all the extra tools they provided. WMR doesn’t seem to have many user configuration options.
I use both SteamVR (for auto racing sim on Steam) and the standard WMR apply my G2 (for the MSFS Store purchased version)….in the Steam VR case for auto racing sims, I can mirror just one eye to the 2D monitor. So, yes it appears to be possible but only on SteamVR. Maybe other can chime in who run MSFS via SteamVR.
I’m 99% sure that the Devs have to code in the VR Mask, a racing sim I was testing on in the past was coded in by the devs, personally i saw very little FPS improvement on my system when using a smaller Mask but it may vary from game to game.
I use SteamVR and that has a Mirror option which I believe renders just the one eye but i don’t use it. Again the devs works preferably need to mirror the image to one eye like every other VR title (!), the rushed implementation of VR for this Sim accounts for the double vision mirror we get today. Hopefully it’ll be dealt with soon as taking screenshots is annoying in this current state.
