Canada, flying from Watson Lake towards Whitehorse
By my experiences, Northern Canada and Alaska have poor Bing maps, so it is no wonder our FS scenery does not look any better.
Can you check if it looks better now after WU-18?
I don’t know what happened on the US east coast, but it looks terrible. I flew from Washington DC to New York and the tile popping is awful. Loading distance for photogrametry is also terrible. For example, if you find yourself near the Manhattan Downtown, even the buildings in the Midtown are not loaded yet. Everything looks flat.
Before the last updates, New York was looking great and now it’s simply unplayable.

I made a different observation - the variety of Bing maps colours were just there - they did not pop up during flight. I tried the Phoenix AZ area, there were tiles in three different colours. This matched with the map. The best part is the one to the right of the aircraft’s nose.
I flew out of the Monument Valley airfield and noticed a marked colour difference south of the field, so I went to Bing maps, and bingo.
Flew in the French Alps today and it really is VERY bad in a lot of places. I know Alps has been mentioned a lot, but I am saying it again. I am not really one for being picky about graphics - the sim often looks stunning. But this severe popping REALLY destroys a beautiful area SO badly. Please please get it fixed.

This is unrelated to the tile popping bug that is being reported here. That is poor aerial photography/colour matching. Not tile popping.
You didn’t understand, the problem is in the north of Italy, you can see squares and lines on the photorel that move while I fly over the Bergamo, Milan area. They didn’t consider the problem.
before wu18 there was no such problem
I would be happy if this could be moved to the corresponding topic by the admin, if there is any.
