Thanks for your replies guys, very helpful. But now I’ve got even more questions. So far I’ve only used the nav data that comes automatically with the sim (i.e. I didn’t manually install update/anything in addition to the base sim). What is the advantage of using Navigraph data? Is it more accurate/complete? What is AIRAC data that the update notes talk about? How do I update that? I assume it gets updated automatically with sim-updates of MSFS 2020…
It’s not ususable. If you use SimBrief and get a new route you can still perform the flight. Nothing but the route has changed. ![]()
Yes! Navigraph data is both more accurate and complete. Once you have a subscription, you can download a separate CRJ database since it has its own.
IMO there are nice freeware alternatives to Navigraph. Flt plan go + chartfox is a good freeware combo that satisfies around 80% of airports globally, 100% in the US. It’s not even necessary for the CRJ as well unless you really care about updated AIRACs.
i just downloaded 1.3 version from ms store
It’s down to 50 fps with the CRJ.
Edit: sorry I misread this. I thought it said “what frame rate do you hit…”
FPS normally 52 fps, so the “hit” is 2 fps.
Do you have the Ibex livery for the CRJ? if you do, then you’re already patched up, if not just delete it and re-install it from the market place.
You might have to manually delete the CRJ folder in your community folder if you have any custom stuff in there (like I had custom navigraph FMS databas, couldnt re-install/download before i cleaned it up from my community folder)
thank you and yes, as i wrote yesterday in aerosofts crj-club, i’ve been trying myself with
GISD1X GISDI Y13 ALEXU N850 BIBTA Z719 OSBIT P605 TOSTU N624 NIKUT T726 GEBNO Z54 NOMBO Y161 RIDAR Z98 WLD T104 ROKIL ROKI1A
but oh well, i’m way too much of a starter to get all of the manuals information transformed into this route right now. gotta learn a lot but i’m sure i’ll get there. all of the perfs can’t be the same anymore or am i mislead?
thanks for the heads up, tho.
What currency was the money, USD, EUR, AUD???

navigraph still offers quite a lot of QOL features i myself don’t wanna miss anymore, but you’re right… there are alternatives that will work, too.
The cost of the subscription at the annual discount rate is worth it for me to have worldwide charts without having to search multiple sites and all in the same format I also have synced data across MSFS, Pilot2ATC, SimBrief and now the Aerosoft CRJ.
I also use the Navigraph app on my tablet as part of an EFB.
Well the landing was in the UK, so i guess good old pounds sterling. ![]()
Amazingly steady 35-45 fps, no stuttering in 4K and high (some ultra) settings.
i9 10900K, RTX 3070 Suprime and 32 GB 2666MHz DDR4
Hi guys, i noticed two issues with the CRJ in VR, one is that the rest camera is not align with the captain seat and i also noticed that depending on each time the simulator is started you need more than one click in order to have a reaction. Are you guys having the same issues?
The CRJ is not approved for VR yet. Use it at your own risk.
Around 22fps (!) with 3080 on ground at LOWI, some settings on Ultra, others tuned down. Very strange. I think the CRJ is not well optimized, maybe they have ported lot of old code to the new sim? We will see if there are any improvements in the upcoming update.
36 - 40 at places like Heathrow, 45 + at less populated airports. That’s with everything on Ultra, live traffic, live weather.
i9 10900k, RTX 3080, 32GB RAM @ 1440p ultrawide.
It has always produced a very smooth experience though, regardless of where the FPS has been at.
OK… So
GISD1X is the SID that gets entered on the DEP ARR page…
That gets you automatically to GISDI.
Then you enter Y13 on the left in Airways to ALEXU (enter on the right straight across the airway)
N850 (airway) to BIBTA (waypoint on the right side)
Z719 (airway) to OSBIT (waypoint on the right)
P605 - airway to TOSTU
N624 - airway to NIKUT
T726 - airway to GEBNO
Z54 - airway to NOMBO
Y161 - airway to RIDAR
Z98 - airway to WLD
T104 - airway to ROKIL
Then enter ROKI1A as the STAR on the DEP ARR page.
Then it’s done. ![]()
Just keep in mind that airways go on the left and waypoints at which you exit them go on the right. (in the FPL page)… SID and STAR is always the first and last entry. Those are on DEP ARR page.
Currently seeing about 38-40 fps ready for take-off at KSFO runway 19L; 4K at 70% render scaling, v-sync at 60 Hz. “High-end” settings, “medium” glass refresh. Ryzen 3700X with RTX 2070 Super.
In general it performs fine; at least as well as the A320N and much better than the B787.
your help is much appreciated !
thank you sir.
