Aerosoft CRJ Series

I hope CRJ in this FS will be more fluent. Maybe it just my PC, but Aerosoft’s CRJ in FSX felt like slugish or slowmotion, especially FMC. I used PMDG’s 737, 747 and 777, Majestic Dash 8, Aerosoft’s A320 family and some other, none of them felt slow like CRJ. Maybe not slow, but it felt there is delay betwen pressed key and what function that key need to do.
For example, in AS’s A320 family, when I pres F-PLAN or PROG it switch almost imidiatly on that page. In CRJ switch between pages was with let’s say 0,5 sec delay. Sometimes it really bugged me, especially when I need to clear some character during route planing.

New screenshots and it’s "close to release candidate" now.

"Quick note… No need to F5 right now. It will be very clear when we are days from release. Right now things are going great.

I just completed the complete release document for our departments. That document helps to get every things aligned. From the people who need to add the product to the shop pages, via the people who make the installers, the people who add it to the Microsoft shop, the marketing department, the server people (as they will need to get enough bandwidth) ending up with the support crew.

Fact is we are close to going to Release Candidate. That’s the one we share with our friends on other sites with permission to show and tell. At that moment only the smallest tweaks can be done, the code needs to be stable and mature a few days. It is the first time the code is shared with people who are no in our ‘circle of control’ so if there is anything our extremely extensive testing has not found we hope it pops up at that time.

People who know me will be surprised about this cautious attitude. I have always been a huge fan of releasing when we were happy and being honest with customers, see what bugs them most and focus on that. Releasing is just the moment when you start working to customer wishes and not on your own ideas. But this will simply not work well with this release. We are aiming at a a huge customer base, many of them will never have flown a more complex aircraft before. One with a few hundred pages of manuals.

We are fully happy with progress. And there is one person who guessed the release date right."

Thanks for the update

After the pre Christmas debacle this does jot mean a lot … but typing with crossed fingers :grimacing::crossed_fingers:

This has always been my favorite aircraft, hands down, across all the sim platforms where available. Am really looking forward to this jet.

Although they mentioned its going to be performance heavier over default planes as expected I am certainly willing to lower some settings. Already have to using FBW a320.As much as I love that mod I will definitely be giving it a rest once this is out.

If you can run the FBW, you should be fine. I seriously doubt it’s gonna be heavier than that.

There was a New-DRM test build made a week ago (which I thought was the main reason for the delay) So maybe soon.

And hopefully it will allow some editing of .cfg files for the premium edition aircraft also.

What exactly was the reason for delay u say ?

No reason given as far as I know.

But you said “ which I thought was the main reason for the delay “

U mean DRM was the main reason for the delay ?

They needed more testing and polish. It’s pretty literally quoted in the first post.

No, i’d guess they want DRM on Aerosoft’s own store. Add-on’s outside the marketplace have no DRM.

Ah ok thanks

Any further news on this, when are they going to release? Can’t seem to find any recent info.

There is none. Based on CRJ history, release won’t come in 1Q. Lucky to hit 3Q.

There is no ideas of release yet but I feel its close. Could be either this month or March.

Actually, there has been plenty of news as of late, with new screenshots and info basically every day, and the aircraft is very close to release.

So no. It’ll come in Q1, as they said.

All one needs to do is to follow the thread in the official forums to know that you’re quite mistaken, so I’m not exactly sure where this came from.

Let’s see if we can kill any doubts that this is coming soon :sunglasses:

also, did someone say interior cabin?

Looking good I think it will be with us either the next month!

Could also come with a sim update as marketplace content as they are partners?

In case you missed it, Aerosoft has just released the latest video with some interior view of cockpit (nearly end of video).

I cannot wait to fly with American Eagle, Delta Connection CRJ to domestic destinations…
