Basically what’s happening is the liveries don’t match what they should be. So for now simple Traffic replaces those generic fake looking planes with livery planes - but they will have no context or be relevant to the place/data feeds. Seems to be the conclusion.
Right on, thanks. Will probably just crank the density up to start filling up gates, if they’re not going to be realistic anyway. 15 bucks to get rid of the ugly orange planes is pretty steep but I guess I’ll consider it an improvement. Because they truly were ugly

So you mean this mismatch of correct livery for the region is only happening on Xbox? Surely it’s using the same code at both ends so that seems strange to me.

You do need a little wait for Live Traffic to populate.
You wouldn’t normally notice if you had the static aircraft slider high.

That’s what I mean, I’ve seen quite a lot with matching livery’, the guy who said they don’t match on Xbox, i’m not sure that’s quite correct.
I saw loads of BA flights at Heathrow with the matching BA livery.
Are you sure, I did some testing earlier and a lot of BA aircraft at Heathrow had BA livery, at JFK I saw matching aircraft and livery for quite a lot of the US airlines.
It’s in no way perfect though, I’ve seen quite a lot of mismatches and airlines I’ve never heard of.
Today I watched 4 aircraft spawn from the live feed 2 BA, 2 easyjet. All of them in incorrect livery. Simple traffic should ONLY put random livery if it doesn’t have a livery for the particular airline - & it most certainly does have BA and easyjet livery, so it shouldn’t have been random (if working correctly)

It should definitely work, clearly some issue, nothing to do with it being on Xbox so it must be limited in some way. Hopefully the devs look into it.
I’ve also seen a lot of non-BA traffic at Heathrow with BA livery.
You can tell the airline from the traffic tag. Also when it’s obvious they are taking to ATC.
They aren’t all wrong. But I’ve seen plenty that are.

When functioning correctly it should be almost zero that don’t match. The only ones that won’t match are where simple traffic doesn’t have that livery to show. So there’s definitely something going wrong.

At Frankfurt there were lots of Lufthansa flights, but I never saw a Lufthansa livery, nor a DHL one, despite there being many DHL flights.
Can you recall what livery you were seeing instead? In my opinion so far the same livery seems to flood a airport. I.e I was getting 10’s of Qatar at Heathrow and every plane at Jersey was a louvelair.
I reinstalled the package and it’s the same. Lots of Nouvelair in the US, Airasia in France and etc… It must be an Xbox bug and I believe the Aerosoft team will fix it. They are not one to leave loose ends in their products. So, I left the offline traffic and airport density at 100%, at least it’s not deserted anymore. I pretend I don’t understand and have fun! hahahahaha
Happy to see others having the same issues as me, at least on Xbox. I’ll amend that, I’m not happy that any of us are having issues, but you know what I mean It does just seem like it straight up isn’t working at the moment. And I have read the manual. But I ain’t upset about it and I’m sure the devs will get around to improving it. Marketplace approval seems to have been their biggest hurdle, so now that they’re there, I’m confident they’ll show some love to it.

Here’s a few Series X shots from EGPH (Edinburgh), Live traffic. I had the ground traffic set to zero as recommended, so sat around for a bit and did a bit of ‘PlaneSpotting’ as things came and went. - definitely something not quite right.
This was okay - EasyJet and KLM:
Then two mismatched - a Lufthansa and Aer Lingus, but both in British Airways colours:
I also saw lots of Ryanair tags (which is right - about 90% of the planes that go over my house seem to be either Ryanair or EasyJet 
) - but they were all sporting Nouvelair liveries…
Still, it’s just out, so hopefully it’ll improve with time.

I was in Ft Lauderdale using Real Time and saw that a Jet Blue among a few others were using a Nouvelaire Livery. I did see a British Airways and Emerites in Australia but again mismatched I think. I only have Nth American liveries so it is working…sort of. Maybe changing to AI live will be better for livery accuracy, I dunno. Some further tweaks are likely needed though.
Yes! I had the same experience today at KSEA… Qatar…everywhere. Not one Alaska airlines livery. KSEA is Alaska’s hub. Something doesn’t seem right. I’m glad(?) to hear it’s not just me experiencing oddities.
FWIW, I’m on Series S, had AI Offline traffic enabled, and set the density levels of ground traffic per AeroSofts recommendations (zero).
For someone who files mostly GA at smaller airports (typically regional or smaller) I am trying to stay positive about this add-on. Still making up my mind. But coming here to see others are also having issues is helping…
