Aerosoft Twin Otter baby!

The problem with the silent process is that many may lose interest and move on.
I’m of a view that feeding a little information keeps potential buyers hungry.

I agree with you. At least an explanation that they have taken over the Twinotter from Aerosoft and are planning this or that would have been expected. Unfortunateley, so we are all in the dark.

The DoubleEnder from GotFriends is being handled well, in my view, with a drip drip drip of information. Just when i start to forget about it a little more information comes out.

One could say that there may be a benefit in letting your prospective customers know that you have hit a wall. A simple update that says that you are working through a tough problem can really connect the bond between the developer and customer.

Of course there is no perfect answer. A short amount of time reading any thread on this forum will reveal the full range of human reactions to any new development or troubles with a module. We are certainly a fickle bunch!

Whoever is developing the Twin Otter for MS/Xbox will have signed a non-disclosure agreement, so nothing will be published until MS/Xbox are ready to make an announcement themselves.

What makes me sad about that is it will probably end up being Marketplace only, and therefore un-moddable…unless it fits under the same umbrella that unlocked the Premium aircraft config files. We can only hope.

With the complete silence around it i can’t help but wonder if is going to be one of the free planes we get periodically.
Very strange marketing approach otherwise.

That’s with the assumption that it has any relation to MS at all. It may very well not.

I certainly hope not.

Aerosoft stated that Microsoft have it back in January.

I’m sorry, but I don’t think that’s true. Aerosoft have categorically refused to mention the specifics of this ‘deal’ and in particular who now owns it.

Please share your source of this.

Search for Aerosoft in this thread.

that’s a horribly inefficient method as this entire thread is about Aerosoft’s product. the word has been mentioned slightly more than a few times
if you have concrete about your claim just post it here

Before I asked you to post your source, I went back through January, Feb, March, and there’s nothing. I personally cannot find where Aerosoft said it went to Microsoft. I’m just asking for a source so it can be stated as a fact and not a rumor, because up until today, I’ve seen it be talked about only as a potential reason for it being pulled, but no factual evidence of why.

I don’t believe that is true, and the only reference is speculation (on this forum) nothing official from Aerosoft.

I highly doubt Aerosoft will make mention of it at all, it will be up to whomever purchased it to come forward when they are ready.

I searched for Aerosoft in this thread and found it. Quicker than searching Aerosoft’s forums, since I don’t understand German.

You went through the effort to find it, but wont share it. Sure thing.

Actually, I don’t know why I’m still pretending to play along anymore. You’re lying. I know it, you know it. Everyone in this topic knows it because its been a discussion for months that no one knows what’s happening with it. Either you enjoy fueling a rumor by pretending to say there’s real info about it that doesn’t exist, or because you believed it to be true but are too stubborn to just say you misunderstood. Come on man. It’s so silly.

I for one am totally convinced after reading that post.

Reflecting on it, I truly feel in my bones that this was personally ordered by Bill Gates at the highest possible priority.

We have no concrete proof but Betelgeuse’s recent behaviour is a very strong hint.

I was thinking exactly the same thing about how positive I am it will be released as a perfectly satisfying, complete, study level aircraft when it returns, too, with no bugs in fact… I’m sure I won’t be disappointed in that expectation.
