Yeah, saw that too. An option for higher rendering spec PCs would be nice.
Anybody else observe that the flap extension/retraction sounds are out of sync? Sometimes they play 1 min too late, sometimes never:(
Anyone else get atrocious speeds through the Aerosoft One installer? Hasn’t gone past 250KB/s since it started, and I normally download at 15-20MB/s. I’m in Australia for reference.
EDIT: This is my first time using Aerosoft One and I didn’t realise I could change download servers. I changed from Frankfurt to Sydney and it went up to 3MB/s - not great but more reasonable.
I don’t mind waiting for updates - firstly, I can’t fly that much these days and secondly I have plenty of decent enough models I can fly if a marketplace model (or models) is broken.
So far, none of the problems that I’ve seen with aircraft I have bought have been game breaking anyway.
I definitely don’t want to end up with x number of dev installer utilities. I also have the Steam install, so I get receipts for each model I buy and also I couldn’t care less about the “locked” files that people keep complaining about.
Awful sounds and autopilot doesn’t work. Default aircraft can get this right. But then they charge you £30 for this…
Compared to something like the Kodiak, it is leagues behind.
no…this is a hydraulic pump sound that is assoc with the flaps
Auto pilot does work for me, I am not saying others are not having issues, but it working for me. However it is Sketchy AF and you need to keep an eye on what it is doing. Be particularly careful with it in icing conditions, it will fly you into a stall (Most GA low level AP’s will do this anyway) but just keep an eye on it, regular speed checks are a must, and a must anyway.
Off Topic…
And again these absolutley trash Default Flight planner crazy way points help nobody!!! TIMETOCLI etc, thank the sim gods that the PMSGT750 tool bar option cleans this mess up. Please Asobo make this monstrosity go away.
looks like it is available on orbx now.
And the prop effects still not as good as the Kodiak
the kodiak is excellent
Just like the CRJ the ILS capture is bizarre! It either captures nicely or captures and then dives at the ground, or just says nah…not doing that and files off in whatever direction it feels like… Amazing!
I guess this is an Asobo issue given its an Aerosoft product
Id like to think I know what I am doing, and as always I could be doing something wrong, but MSFS is the only sim where I always feel un-easy about ILS Capture unless its the FBW A32nx or the CJ4.
But this is now yet another plane I have zero confidence in landing in low vis conditions using an ILS approach!
I wouldn’t hold the Kodiak up as a good example, it’s too transparent and the moving flickering blades look a bit odd.
The Twotter ones look especially bad on some liveries though, too dark, not smoothly animated and negligible depth.
The only planes I’ve seen that have great prop effects are the DC6 and the new C337, I really love the new C337 especially, it blends so well between the distinct dark blade shape from the side to a faint smoothly animated prop blur in front.
Something I really hope more dev’s spend time on, DCS style prop effects would be fantastic.
Yeah for me it is just pot luck whether it engages ALT mode at the selcted altitude, and even if it does, it then more than likely just keeps climbing even with ALT mode active. Then it just won’t descend with a negative VS.
And engaging the autopilot in climb is impossible, as soon as you engage it goes to VS = 0fpm, it should engage at whatever your current VS is.
To illustrate my ILS issues a bit
The Red square is where the plane started its noes dive at around 900ft/min for no reason that I could I see, I was established and it was going nicely.
The Red Arrow area is where I had to recover it and get back on the path. I knew it was going to happen, hence why it does not look bad, but it was. That should be a nice continues slope down, as it started off being before the AP went nuts.
Its not about using the automatics to land for me, I am more than capable if I can see, but I need to have confidence that if I cant see until minimums the AP is going to do its job!
Has anybody confirmed that ordering through Orbx means it gets installed (and updated?) by the normal Orbx Central app? I prefer to order through Orbx specifically because it makes checking for and installing updates easier than any of the other ways I’ve bought MSFS planes (other than the Marketplace, which has it’s own well-known drawbacks).
Haha that’s been my profile pic since I joined the forum, you have good taste sir.
it got installed via orbx central without launching anything else, I won’t have a chance to actually try or fly it until Saturday. To me it seems like it would also get updated just fine via obrx central because it installed the normal way.
Orbx Central automatically updates Aerosoft’s other aircraft, the CRJ, so I wouldn’t think that it would be any different for the Twotter.
Yup!Especially the tires are terrible.
