Hi!,
Someone is experimenting this?
After few consecutive flights, aircraft HSI and Icon are wrong, I’m flying to West, however HSI say North, and aircraft icon is point to opposite direction.
Hi!,
Someone is experimenting this?
This is something that I also noticed some time ago while flying the VL3, it totally sent me 180 degrees off my flightplan. But I am using the VL3 mod and suspected that could be the issue, honest I did not remove the mod and tried it again after on instruments.
Most probable it is the implementation of the avionics?
try resetting gyro drift
I will try this, thank you!
Weird. The plane icon shouldn’t do that. The HSI should display heading up or track up. DTK up on the HSI, as we see here, is not a thing IRL.
And since there’s no “gyro” to calibrate (it has an AHRS), I don’t know if pressing “D” will work. I’ve never had to do that in the sim, at least. Maybe there’s some workaround it’s running in the code that uses that? Let us know what you find.
Edit: the more I think about it, maybe it is HDG up, and the plane icon is just rotated because the GPS is reading the wrong ground track and skewing the icon really far over. It’s not something that we’d often see to that extent (only a few degrees at most), so it looks pretty novel.
You’re not using active pause or anything, right? Running any mods (especially WT ones)?
After studying the provided screenshot, all the instrumentation is providing accurate information with the exception of the airplane indicator facing the wrong way. But the HSI is in agreement with the magnetic compass and GPS track. And we know the GPS is correct because the track and groundspeed are consistent with the bearing and ETE to the next waypoint
If I had to hazard a guess it’s either a mod conflict, or some gyro drift bug in the code for the aircraft indicator.
