After landing

After landing (non assisted) the plane veers off to the nearest taxi way and I have no rudder control then when a gate is selected in does it itself… I’m on the series x thanks guys

Sounds like you have some assists turned on. In your options menu under assists. Once you land try setting it to “true to life” and see if it stops.

It could also be Auto Rudder is enabled in the settings.

No auto rudder is also off

Auto rudder keeps your turns coordinated and helps with ground steering. Wouldn’t auto Taxi you.

Go through your assists or just set it to true to life to quickly rule it out.

I’m assuming there’s an assist on and your co-pilotnis taking care of it for you.

How difficult is a landing on true to life settings?

You’d have to give it a try and gauge for yourself. I think it’s subjective as everyone has their own definition of difficult based on experience.

I’ve used True to life for everything since day 1 only because that was my personal preference.

Easy as you like.

I use true to life assists and at first I struggled a bit with a320 for example bouncing up a bit on touch down, I got better at them over time.

Trust me use true to life and just customise things.

I do however keep the xbox assist on, cant remember what its called but its an assist for those that use xbox game pad. No idea what its like with that off. May have to try it.

Thanks. Its just really annoying I land a perfect landing then the plane (a320) veers across the bloody grass

It must be an assist like mentioned or some weird bug.

I’ve been through all the assists and from what I can see it’s none of them which is strange. Soon as I get to a taxi way the plane then steers itself following the taxi marker to the get all I do is control the throttle

Try checking to see if anything is enabled the next time it does it by opening the top bar and looking under the tab that pilots the aircraft (pilot cap picture).

Check the “AI Piloting in Cursor Mode” command in the User Experience section of the main Assistance Options settings.
Ensure that is off.

Its. Off I changed true to life and changed a few things which has now turned it to custom and landing once with no issue so will continue to try

Scrap that just done it again whilst landing runway 27 at Bristol

Check your Co-pilot AI settings (top menu)

Its not on it must be a bug as landing once not a problem then it happened the next time

I am having the same issue. At first I thought it was only one plane but now it has happened while flying others. Doesn’t always happen but when it does, it’s upon landing. You loose all steering control, and/or the second you touch down, the rudder max deviates to one side usually left. If everyone else is not having this issue, it must be a setting issue. Just a matter of trouble shooting it.
