Hey everyone, I updated to the latest update today and now I cannot load into any flight.
I go through the new world map, pick my departure, and my aircraft (PMDG DC-6) and it loads the little blue bar all the want to end but NEVER goes to the runway. It just sits there playing music.
Any ideas?
Probably servers are extremely busy which is causing the delays your seeing
Did you download the update from PMDG? PMDG had a NOTAM in their forums explaining that the new update broke the DC-6. You should be able to an update from their update tool, since they have a fix.
I’m having the same problem. I’m using a stock msfs aircraft and a stock airport. It had splash screen and the blue bar moves rapidly to 75% and slows to a crawl and never finishes. The hard drive flickers but the cpu and memory have very high usage. I’ve never had any problems for months but this after today’s update.
Now working for me. I wonder what happened. BTY Performance improved for me.

Ok close MSFS, delete/move your community folder.. and try again. Also: multiple members complained about the first load. It can take 15 minutes, staying at 100% ! There are some preparations to do, apparently..
Edit: Never had previous issues with this sim.
Q: Did you 1) clear your running cache and 2) restart MSFS and after finishing the updates ?
(can’t test myself atm.. still downloading.. but C152 is my favorite ! sure I’ll test it first of all !!)

Just park it on that wait. Let it run. The long wait on the first flight issue was reported by many members.. It won’t crash. Eventually, you’ll get in and the next load will be quicker. Somehow.. there seems to be some work on the server, on the FIRST load. The servers are still not responding properly, that’s what I’ve seen sofar in the questions..
I was watching CPT Canada on Youtube live - he restarted the sim and got straight back on the runway while I was still sitting at 100% - same city, different airports. I have tried to spawn at KDCA and KPHL also!!
It seems to depend on the server you’re connected with. Are you in Canada ?
No. East Coast USA. I’m download content manager updates now so that’s it for the night. Thanks for the advice - hopefully other people can benefit from this post too.
East coast is prime time now for the downloads.. when we got to around 20:00 in Europe, downloads went to 0.2Mbit.. and all XBox folks got issues.. if there is any work.. pilots are put on hold, load will go to eternity. Try again in 2-4 hours..
Thanks, everyone, actually waiting for almost 30 mis for the flight to load worked. I also got the update from the PMDG app. I didn’t see that update earlier but it’s there now.
All in all it took almost 45 mins to load that first flight, from startup to runway…yikes.
I hope the next ones load faster.
In Portland, Oregon my downloads are about 200 Mbit.
I had luck removing all Marketplace content and reinstalling only the mandatory base content. Now loads into the cockpit very fast! I’m reinstalling things bit by bit until I have everything I want or I find what’s causing the slowdown.
Having trouble with fuel selector on SR22 doesnt respond.. This happened after update… Hand shows but cannot swich tanks.. Havent tried othe r planes but this is my go to plane frustrating..
Same problem here…I cannot start the engine / cannot switch from one tank to another…
