Does anyone here know if there is a programme that will create AI-generated announcements based on a Simbrief flightplan? For instance, a welcome address along the lines of: “Good (MORNING) (AFTERNOON) (EVENING) ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard this (AIRLINE) flight to (DESTINATION)…” etc., a safety briefing appropriate to the aircraft type, and a landing announcement. Perhaps even the PNF saying something about the route “our flight today will take us across…”. ?

Caveat there is subscription Model. You can download specific airline packs on their discord which theb public have uploaded. Easy to use and setup.
Yes, Universal Announcer can do that. It can use both sound packs, like Fenix has, and or ai generated announcements.

It’s brilliant. I have one question though about generated scripts using Edge: If I select a non-English voice, it translates the placeholder text (according to the simbrief fp) into that language. Do you know how I can avoid that? For instance, if I generate automatic scripts for Lufthansa, the German voice reads the English with a German accent and says the times and aircraft type in German.
Sorry I dont know if the windows text to speech api or the app is capable to do that. But you could contact the author via fs .to. I am sure he will answer. And please call back here, because I would love that DLH pilots speak German and english. Maybe it has to do with what voice you choose?
Yes, after some experimentation, it appears to have to do with the exact voice you choose. Only the ones marked “multilingual” can speak both languages properly. I also want the German ones speaking English and German

There are 2 voices marked “multilingual” German using Edge: “de-DE-FlorianMultilingualNeural” does not sound German at all, he sounds American. “de-DE-SeraphineMultilingualNeural” has a generic British accent, not German. Perhaps one of us should record ourselves
What I want to do is have an English script followed by a German one, using the same voice (obviously). The problem is, if I use the same placeholders, the person will read the text in the placeholder in English - even in the German script. My “BoardingWelcome” script looks like this:

If I add a German script after this, for instance “Guten {TIME_OF_DAY} meine Damen und Herren…” the pursor will read {TIME_OF_DAY} as “morning”, “afternoon” or “evening”. I still have to find out how to avoid this.
So I will continue experimenting, perhaps with other text-to-speech providers.
